ππ Celebrating Trish! ππ
This week marks an incredible 7 years of Trish being part of the Kidscape family!
As our Administration Officer, Trish is often the first friendly face families see and the person working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. From enrolments and paperwork to supporting families and educators, she is truly the backbone of our service.
Her dedication, organisation, kindness, and willingness to help wherever needed make a difference every single day. We are so grateful for everything she does and honestly couldnβt imagine Kidscape without her.
Thank you, Trish, for 7 amazing years of commitment, care, and support. πβ¨
Please join us in congratulating Trish on this wonderful milestone! π₯³π

π¨ Sticky Tape Rescue Mission! π¨
Today our children joined Educator Kerrie for a fun and engaging Sticky Tape Rescue Mission!
A variety of toys were carefully taped to the table, challenging the children to work together to free their trapped friends. Using their problem-solving skills, persistence and fine motor coordination, the children explored different ways to peel, pull and lift the tape to complete their rescue.
This hands-on experience encouraged concentration, patience and perseverance while strengthening the small muscles in the childrenβs hands and fingers that support future skills such as drawing, writing and self-help tasks.
There were plenty of smiles, excited discoveries and proud moments as each successful rescue was celebrated! π

π§ Busy little minds at work! π§
Our 2-year-olds explored this exciting transport-themed tough tray, using their imaginations to create roads, rivers, construction sites and adventures of their own. Through scooping, pouring, moving vehicles and exploring different textures, the children were developing their fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, creativity and language skills.
Open-ended experiences like this encourage children to take the lead in their learning, make discoveries and share ideas with their friends as they play.
What a wonderful morning of exploration, creativity and hands-on learning! βοΈππππππ

Fine Motor Fun and Focused Exploration π§©
Today some of our youngest learners enjoyed a simple but engaging activity using paddle pop sticks and an empty box. Carefully posting the sticks through the small openings encouraged hand-eye coordination, concentration and fine motor skill development.
Through repeated practice, children build confidence as they explore how objects fit, move and interact with their environment. It was wonderful to watch the persistence, curiosity and sense of achievement as each paddle pop stick found its way into the box! π

πβ¨ Story Time with Nischal β¨π
Our Junior Preschool children enjoyed gathering together for a special story time with Nischal today.
Reading together helps children develop early literacy skills, build vocabulary, strengthen concentration, and spark their imaginations. It also creates opportunities for meaningful conversations as children share their thoughts, ideas, and predictions about the story.
We loved seeing the children engaged, listening carefully, and joining in as the story unfolded. π

ππ¨ Our little artists enjoyed creating their very own fish today!
Using pegs attached to large pom poms, the children explored painting in a different way, carefully dabbing paint across their paper plate fish. Once the paint had dried, they added a googly eye with support from their educator to bring their fish to life.
This fun creative experience supported fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, and encouraged the children to explore colour, texture, and artistic expression. π β¨πππ

Our Junior Toddlers have been enjoying imaginative play in our outdoor Little CafΓ©! The children eagerly stepped into different roles, serving cups of tea, taking orders, and sharing conversations with their friends and educators.
Through this play experience, the children were developing communication skills, social confidence, turn-taking, and creativity while exploring familiar real-world experiences in a fun and meaningful way. πΏπ
