Christian school leadership is one of the most rewarding callings, yet it can also be one of the most demanding.

Every day, leaders are making decisions that shape not only academic outcomes but also the hearts, faith and futures of the young people entrusted to their care. The weight of that responsibility can be significant, particularly when balancing staffing challenges, parent concerns, strategic planning, compliance requirements and the desire to lead with wisdom, grace and purpose.

One thing I have learned over the years is that great leadership is not about having all the answers, it is about staying anchored to the one who does and to what matters most, leading from a place of peace rather than pressure, and remembering that influence often grows through faithfulness in the small things.

I'd love to hear from fellow Christian educators and school leaders.

Which area would help you most right now?

1. Practical leadership tools and templates

2. Faith-informed encouragement for the leadership journey

3. Strategies to reduce stress and lead with greater confidence

Comment with 1, 2 or 3 below and let's start the conversation.

You Carry a Lot.
You Shouldn’t Have to Carry It Alone.

School leadership can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be exhausting. The constant decision-making, emotional pressure, difficult conversations, late nights, and silent weight many leaders carry behind closed doors can slowly take their toll.

Most leadership spaces focus on performance. Very few focus on the person carrying the leadership.

That is why the Permission To Pause Leadership Exchange was created.https://permission-to-pause-leadership-exchange.circle.so/investment

The Permission To Pause Leadership Exchange is a confidential online community and leadership support space designed specifically for Christian school leaders, principals, deputies, aspiring leaders, business managers and executive staff.

This is not another noisy social media group or generic professional development space. It is a practical, faith-informed leadership community built by someone who understands the real pressures of school leadership.

Inside the Exchange you will find:
• Confidential leadership community spaces
• Practical leadership tools and templates
• Monthly encouragement and formation sessions
• Leadership reflection resources
• Prayer and encouragement support
• Honest conversations with leaders who understand
• Guidance through difficult seasons and complex decisions

Whether you are navigating staff tensions, difficult parent conversations, culture challenges, leadership fatigue, or simply trying to stay grounded under constant pressure, this space was designed with you in mind.

Permission To Pause gives leaders a place to stop, reflect, recalibrate, and receive support from people who genuinely understand the journey.

There is another way to lead. A healthier, sustainable, faith-anchored way.

The Permission To Pause Leadership Exchange exists to help leaders live, learn, lead, and finish well.

You spend your life supporting everyone else. Perhaps it is time someone supported you too.

You can be a strong leader… and still be tired.
Not tired because you’re doing the wrong thing but tired because you’ve been carrying so much for so long, and often alone.

The decisions.
The people.
The weight no one else sees.

You keep showing up.
You keep holding it together.
You keep leading well.

But somewhere along the way…
You stopped having space to 'be led yourself.'

That’s why I created the "Permission to Pause Leadership Exchange." (PTPLE).

PTPLE is a confidential, faith-anchored space for school leaders that I would have loved to have had when I was a full-time school principal.

Inside, you’ll find:
✨ A trusted community who understands the role
✨ Monthly leadership formation sessions
✨ Weekly prayer and connect groups
✨ Practical tools you can actually use in real situations
✨ Scripture-based encouragement that strengthens, not overwhelms

This is not another course.
This is not more to add to your plate.
This is where leaders come to 'lay things down' —
and pick up what actually sustains them.

If you’ve been quietly thinking “I can’t keep leading like this…” - this might be your next right step.

Easter holidays for most schools are about to end.

We've all had different experiences of what Easter means to each of us. No matter what yours has been like, Easter is a reminder of the sacrifice Jesus made for us which included surrender to God's will and obedience to what He wanted - at great personal cost.

And now… Term 2 at school is about to begin.
That means..emails, staff needs, parent concerns and decisions waiting - all start again.

It would be easy to step straight back into pressure and leave the peace behind but what if you didn’t?

What if you carried something different into this term?

👉 Not urgency—but clarity
👉 Not pressure—but peace
👉 Not striving—but steadiness

Before you open your inbox today, try this:

Pause for 2 minutes.
Breathe slowly.
Ask: “What am I carrying into this term that I don’t need to?”

Then release it.
You don’t have to lead this term the same way you finished the last one.
You can lead from a different place.
A steadier place.
A clearer place.
A more anchored place.

If you need help resetting for the term ahead,
I’ve created a simple 5-day leadership reset.

Comment “PAUSE” and I’ll send it to you.
