The other day, our Deadly Administration & Creative Coordinator, Nakita, got the chance to see the world from a whole new perspective.

Having flown only once before on a trip to Adelaide to see Justin Bieber, stepping aboard a small aircraft was a very different experience!

From On-Country to On-Air, Kita couldn't wipe the smile off her face.

There's something special about seeing the landscapes we work across every day from above, and experiencing first-hand what our flying operations are all about.

We're lucky to have such a talented team behind the scenes ,and it was great to get Nakita up in the sky.

Safe to say it won't be her last flight! 😊

Foxbat Australia - news from Wynyard Aero Club

It has become a long-standing tradition of the Wynyard Aero Club in North West Tasmania to commemorate the Battle of Britain Dawn Patrol each year in mid-September, weather permitting.

Just after first light, participating aircraft depart Wynyard and assemble for a coastal flight to Ulverstone and return, flying in a very loose en echelon formation. The event provides local pilots with an opportunity to practice precision flying and enjoy the camaraderie of operating in close company.

This year, despite a couple of late scratchings, the fleet still included three Foxbat A22s, a Vixxen A23, and a Cessna 172. In previous years, the event has attracted as many as 10 to 12 aircraft.

The Dawn Patrol has become a much-anticipated event for the local community, with residents gathering along the coast to watch the flypast. Spectators regularly share photographs and videos captured from the ground as the aircraft pass overhead at approximately 1,000 feet.

The Wynyard Aero Club also conducts an ANZAC Day Flypast each year, flying over cenotaphs across the North West Coast between Wynyard and Devonport, timed to coincide with the 11:00 am ANZAC Day services.
