You don’t need to know every turn. You just need to know where you’re heading… and why you started in the first place”

It’s an incredibly challenging and stressful time for many businesses right now. Rising costs, changing consumer behaviour, increased competition, new technology and constantly evolving digital platforms all add another layer to running a business!

It’s easy to get caught up in what you should be doing next. The next platform, the next trend, the next marketing tactic, the next opportunity!

So what I think is valuable right now… go back to your why!

Why did I start this business in the first place?
What did I want it to give me?
What did I want to create?
And perhaps most importantly, what did I want my life to look like because of it?

For me, building Be U Now Branding has always been about adding value to others’ lives whilst being at home during our girls’ formative years, doing work I genuinely enjoy (hello creative outlet!), having flexibility around my family and creating a business that fits the life I want to live.

Travel, travel, travel! ✈️

There’s no better time to get clarity around your direction and your why. When you have that clarity, it becomes much easier to decide where to focus your time, energy and resources, particularly when business gets tough!

So perhaps this is your reminder to go back to the beginning… get that vision board out!!! 🎨

Why did you start? And where do you want your business to take you?

Because ultimately, the goal shouldn’t just be to build a successful business.

It should be to build a business that supports the life you actually want to live 💛💛

Sometimes you just need a different view to remember what’s possible. ✨

Standing overlooking the Sydney, Australia Harbour Bridge and Opera House with my beautiful friend Bronwyn Robertson , before heading into a room filled with 850 go getters from all over Australia, celebrating business, courage, resilience and achievement.

There to support Bronwyn Robertson who keeps growing.
She strives for excellence, pushing herself, challenging the norm and, perhaps most importantly, encouraging the people around her to do the same.

Watching her build the Albury Wodonga Wedding Expo into what it is today, & Bella Debutante & Events and then seeing her recognised as a finalist on a national stage, was pretty special!
Better yet, celebrating another incredible human from our region Amanda Ward (Amanda Ward) for all she’s achieved with sleepclinicsawc
You both are inspirational 👊🏼

The night was filled with stories of women who are backing themselves, building businesses, overcoming setbacks and creating something meaningful for the next generation.

It was inspiring. It was emotional. It was a bloody good reminder to get out there, experience more, surround yourself with incredible people and dream a little bigger.

Because sometimes all it takes is a different view to remember…Anything is possible. ✨

4 photos… two taken today just now in full mum mode and two taken 4 years ago…. And still a love for Yellow! It’s always been my favourite colour. 💛
It’s bright, feels like sunshine, joy and a little bit of magic. ☀️💛

So today, I’m wearing yellow.
But more importantly, I’m taking a moment to reach out to the people who have checked in on me.
The ones who send the random message.
Who ask how you really are. Who notice when things are a little off.
Who show up, even when you don’t ask them to.

Because sometimes, it’s the smallest check-in that means the most.

What a night… what a team! 🥂✨
The Sebel at Silverwoods Resort Yarrawonga

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Tradelink Trade HIA Vic - Residential building industry news, training & events HIA Regional Victoria 2026 Building Awards, supporting my fiancé Shane Baldmanwithaplan McDowall and his team at Southern Vale Homes .

And what a night they had! 🏆

🥇 Project Home of the Year
🏅 Special Commendation for a home Shane designed, achieving an incredible 8.1 energy star rating!

One thing really stood out to me…

Culture is everything. You can see it. You can feel it.

What John and Blaise have created within Southern Vale is something pretty special. Great companies are built on great people, and by gosh, this is a great bunch of people. ❤️

The building industry right now? The challenges are REAL. But looking around that room at the resilience, creativity and passion was seriously inspiring.

Massive congratulations to all the finalists and winners. 👏🏼

And yes… you’ve absolutely inspired me for our next home.
That laundry. That kitchen. I’m taking notes!!! 😅

Every now and then, I think we all need to come back to the beginning! Why did you start your business?

What did you want it to give you? What did you want it to create and what did you want people to feel!

I know I’ve had to ask myself those questions more than once.

For me. I started Be U Now Branding because I wanted to use my skills, connect with people, create something meaningful and build a business that worked with the life I wanted to live whilst helping my people that align with my values!

Your why has a funny way of making everything else flow.

Your brand. Your voice. Your content. The way you show up. The people you attract and the tables you sit at!
Your why becomes the thread running through it all.

And that’s where we come in as marketing and branding professionals.

You don’t need to have all the right words. That’s our job ☺️

Our job is to listen, understand what makes you tick, find the story behind the business and turn that into a brand people can see, hear and connect with.

So before you worry about what to post next, what your grid looks like or what everyone else is doing…

Come back to your why. Why did you start?

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of documenting Palmers Financial Group first ever Variety Motoring in NSW/ACT through their social media.

A privilege being able to follow along and experience a little piece of their incredible six-day journey.

There’s something pretty humbling about watching these teams take on thousands of kilometres, raising money and awareness for Variety - the Children's Charity NSW/ACT , while creating memories and friendships along the way.

And one of my favourite moments? Catching the Palmers Kenworths crew as they flew past the Nexus Industrial Area here in Albury Wodonga & Surrounds 🚛💗

What a crew. What a journey. And what an incredible cause to be part of.

I loved bringing the story to life through content and getting a glimpse into what makes the Variety Bash so special.

How can you create experiences people remember if you’re not out there experiencing life yourself?

I’ve been chasing sunrises for years. Five continents so far, and countless mornings watching the world wake up somewhere new and some of the most beautiful and memorable have been right here in Australia. 🌅

The past three mornings…

The older I get, the more I crave connection. With nature. With people. With places. With experiences.

How can you truly understand what makes something memorable if you’re not out there experiencing life yourself?

How can you create meaningful experiences for people if you don’t take the time to experience them yourself?

I am seeing the world. I am staying in incredible places. Meeting interesting people with incredible stories.
Feeling the magic of a place.

And I bring all of that into the work I do.
I help businesses create experiences that connect, resonate and become memorable.
Because the more I experience, the more I understand people.
And the more I understand people, the better I can help businesses shine.

That’s the work I love. Connecting with people, places and experiences, and helping businesses tell their stories in a way that makes people feel something.

So here’s to more nature. More travel. More people. More experiences. More stories to tell!

I’ve been thinking a lot about growth lately.

Sometimes, growth isn’t about doing more. It’s about knowing when something no longer fits.

Recently, I trusted my gut.
I made a business decision that wasn’t necessarily easy, but deep down, I knew it was the right one.

And then the inevitable happened…
A new door opened. 🚪✨

It reminded me that you can be incredibly grateful for where you’ve been and still be ready for what’s next.
Walking away doesn’t erase the value of what came before.

Every experience. Every client. Every opportunity. Every chapter. It all teaches us something.

But…sometimes, we simply grow. Our vision changes.
Our priorities shift. And that little voice inside starts telling us it’s time for something different.

So I’ll leave you with a question to think about…

What are you holding onto that you’re ready to release?
What is your gut telling you? Maybe it’s time to trust it!
Because you never know what incredible door might open when you finally make space for it. 🤍

Here’s to growth, trusting yourself and having the courage to make room for what’s next. ✨
