The EPP (Educational Pathways Program) provided 20+ APHS students with the opportunity of going to the Marine Careers and Sydney Boat Show last Friday, of which we are all very grateful. Students took the opportunity to learn about the many careers in the Maritime industry before having the chance to check out the boats, jet skis, fishing equipment etc etc that were on display at the Boat Show. Many a "showbag" was collected, with some students purchasing fishing gear at bargain prices as well!

Last week, APHS welcomed Steph Aceglav (Aceglav Creative Media) into the school to run a 4-hr Digital Media Content Creation workshop for 20 of our students. What a fantastic opportunity for our students to engage in such an activity, which has boundless impacts in the careers space in pretty much every employment sector! Special thanks to Steph for running such an awesome program, and also to those parents and local businesses who offered their products for us to "play around with". Products used were from 'Amy Critcher Hair Design", "Graceful Steps Dance Emporium" and "Fur Glow".

Huge thanks, once again, to Jenny Watts from RIEP (Regional Industry Education Partnership) for organising this workshop for us!

Thank you to Jenny Watts our RIEP Officer (Regional Industry Education Partnership) for organising the annual Work Ready Child Care program, which was attended by four APHS students last week. On the day, the students learnt about the ins and outs of the profession before involving themselves in a number of practical activities that make up part of the day on the job. From here, it is hoped that work experience and SBAT offers are made to those girls who are keen to pursue this career pathway.
