🎉 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO TAKYSHA & ELANI! 🏉✨
We are so proud to celebrate Year 11 students Takysha and Elani! After being nominated, both were selected from young leaders across Australia and New Zealand to represent their clubs at the prestigious 2026 NRL Indigenous Youth Summit through the NRL School to Work (S2W) program!
🐉 Takysha is representing the St George Illawarra Dragons
🦈 Elani is representing the Cronulla Sharks
The girls headed off for an incredible 3-day camp centered on culture, leadership, and connection. To top off this huge achievement, they carried the pride of their community and school onto the big stage as they featured on the NRL Indigenous Round broadcast!

Yesterday, on August 13th, over 20 of our students had the exciting opportunity to attend the Youth Summit hosted by Shellharbour City Council, focused on "The New Generation of Leadership." They joined around 200 students from the region for a day filled with team-building activities, a mini expo packed with valuable resources, photo booth fun, a silent disco, and delicious free breakfast and lunch. Our students represented our school admirably, demonstrating great behaviour and enthusiasm throughout the event. Well done to all who participated in this inspiring day!

Last Tuesday, our Under 13s and Under 15’s boys rugby league teams attended the Illawarra gala day at Croom Road. The Under 13’s played four games winning three against Kiama, Corrimal and Warilla High School. The boys made the final but fell short against Edmund Rice.
The Under 15’s also progressed to the final after beating Figtree, Bulli and Kiama in the semi with a try on the last play and a goal kick by Max Glover to win the game. Unfortunately they were beaten by Edmund Rice as well 22-10 in the final.
The boys should be proud of their efforts and the way they represented APHS both on and off the field. Thanks to Mr Blake, Mr Hobson and Mr Polley for helping on the day. 🏈

NAIDOC Week Touch Football! 🖤💛❤️

What a fantastic way to celebrate NAIDOC Week! Congratulations to our students on a 2–1 victory over the teachers in today's Touch Football match! 🎉

Both teams played exceptionally well, showing great teamwork, sportsmanship, determination and plenty of friendly competition. A huge thank you to our teachers for getting involved and helping make the game such a fun and memorable event.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate connection, culture and teamwork.
👏 Well done to everyone involved!
