Join VUPA’s nationally accredited First Aid Training this August and gain essential emergency-response knowledge and practical life-saving skills that are valuable both personally and professionally.
The course includes mandatory online pre-coursework covering the main theory of CPR and first aid. This will be followed by a two-hour, hands-on practical training and assessment session led by a qualified trainer.

⏰ Practical session: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
📍 Venue: Footscray Park Campus, Victoria University
⛑️ During the practical session, you will learn and demonstrate:
🫀 CPR using adult and infant manikins
⚡ How to use a defibrillator (AED)
🩹 Bandaging for cuts, burns, stings, bites, sprains and breaks
💉 How to use an EpiPen
🫁 How to assist someone experiencing asthma
🚑 Recovery position and emergency-response procedures
🏥 Basic emergency life-support skills
Upon successful completion of the online coursework and practical assessment, participants will receive the following nationally recognised units of competency:
✅ HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
✅ HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
✅ HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
The First Aid certificate is valid for three years, making this training a valuable addition to your professional development and employability toolkit.
