Naidoc week is an important event in our calendar every year - it is an opportunity for us all to celebrate and learn about the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

This years theme is: "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy. And it goes from the 6th to the 13th of July.

This year for Naidoc week each room has been celebrating with different crafts, activities and environments.

By incoporating elements of Aboriginal culture and discussing the significane of NAIDOC week, the educators have engaged the children in fun creative experiences that allows freedom of movement, creativity and fosters an appreciation for NAIDOC Week.

Here are some photos highlighting the different activities we have done across the centre.
