Consistency isn't flashy.
It's not the big sessions everyone sees, the perfect workout, or the days when motivation is high.
It's showing up when you're tired. Showing up when life is busy. Showing up when progress feels slow.
That's why we'd like to give a shout-out to Dee.
Week after week, Dee keeps turning up, putting in the work, and staying committed to the process. No shortcuts, no excuse, just steady effort and a willingness to keep improving.
The truth is that most results don't come from one great session. They come from hundreds of ordinary sessions strung together over time. The people who make the biggest changes are often the ones who simply refuse to quit.
Well done, Dee. Your consistency doesn't go unnoticed, and it's a great example for everyone in the gym. 👏🥊
thanks for the shot!

Before the fight begins, there is respect 🙏
The Wai Kru Ram Muay is one of the most sacred traditions in Muay Thai.
Fighters perform a graceful, ritualistic dance in the ring. It’s a moving prayer of gratitude.
Wai = the Thai gesture of respect (palms together)
Khru = teacher / master
Ram Muay = the dance of Muay
It’s a fighter’s way of paying deep respect to their teachers, trainers, family, gym, ancestors, and the art itself. It's a moment of humility before the battle, where a fighter acknowledges that everything they are comes from those who came before them.
In a combat sport that can be raw and brutal, these rituals keep the soul of the art alive. They remind us that Muay Thai is more than just fighting . It's discipline, gratitude, humility, and connection to something bigger than yourself.
This is what sets Muay Thai apart from many other martial arts. While others may focus purely on technique or competition, Muay Thai carries centuries of Thai culture, spirituality, and respect into every session and every fight. It grounds fighters. It builds character. It turns training into something deeper than just getting better at striking.
At our gym, we honour these traditions because they shape who we are, on and off the mats.
Whether you’re a beginner learning your first steps or a seasoned practitioner, the Wai Kru is a beautiful reminder:
Respect first. Always.

Sometimes the most selfless thing you can do is be a little selfish.
In a world that never slows down, we’re constantly told that we come last. Especially as parents, partners, and professionals wearing a dozen different hats after long days. Training can feel like a luxury you shouldn’t take. But here’s the truth:
Carving out that one hour for yourself isn’t selfish.
It’s actually one of the most selfless acts you can do.
It’s calming your nervous system.
It’s finding an outlet for stress.
It’s showing up in a community where you belong.
It’s keeping your body strong and your mind clear, so you can show up better for the people who matter most.
Your family, your friends, your work, they all benefit when you’re recharged and healthy.
So next time guilt creeps in and you question whether you “have time” for the gym… remember this:
Sometimes the most selfless thing you can do is put on the gloves and train.

What a night of action packed Muay Thai at Nemesis Rising 4.
We saw everything Fight of the Year contender, Knockout of the Year contender, and a heap of controversy everyone’s talking about.
I was proud to walk our six Albany fighters to the ring and watch them perform in front of their families, friends and hometown crowd. The results didn’t all go our way finishing with 1 win, 4 losses and 1 no contest, but there were plenty of standout performances and valuable lessons to take forward.
The Albany crowd was treated to an exciting night of Muay Thai from start to finish, and I’m incredibly proud to be able to bring events like this to our town. A huge thank you to all the teams who travelled from Perth and beyond to be part of the show and help make it such a success.
To our volunteers, thank you. The work that happens behind the scenes often goes unnoticed but events like this simply couldn’t happen without your time, effort, and commitment. We appreciate you.
To our sponsors, thank you for believing in the event and helping us get this promotion off the ground. Your support allows us to keep pushing forward and creating opportunities for fighters while bringing quality combat sports entertainment to Albany. We hope you received great value from your involvement and continue to be part of the journey.
And finally, thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, tuned into the livestream, shared a post, or cheered from the crowd. Your support is what keeps Nemesis Rising growing year after year.
Already looking forward to Nemesis Rising 5 👊🙏
