Flinders Park Canteen Update

🍎🥪 CANTEEN UPDATE! 🥪🍎

A little canteen change is coming! 👀

From Tuesday 25 August, the canteen will be open during FIRST BREAK ONLY.

But don’t panic! 😋 All snacks will still be available to order with lunch and can be collected together with your child’s lunch order.

Thanks for your understanding and continued support of our P&C canteen! ❤️💙

We’re also still on the lookout for canteen volunteers ~ if you have an hour or two to spare, come along, lend a hand and be part of the school community.

Ten schools attended the Dockers Shield AFL Carnival today and played a round robin competition to determine the winning school.
Each team played 9 games so the day was chock - a - block busy with only short intervals between games to move, eat, drink and prepare for the next round.
Our Flinders students had a terrific day and showed great teamwork as well as skill, perseverance and adaptability across a range of situations. They really were most impressive.

Flinders ended up 3rd behind Mt Barker and Denmark in a close competition.

Many thanks to the parents who assisted with umpiring, goal umpiring, scoring, transport and cheering on the sidelines.

The girls carnival will be held in week 8.

📚 Book Week at Flinders Park Primary School 📚
Throughout Book Week, staff are sharing stories with our students in the Library each day during Break 1.
Today, Ms Ball shared one of her favourite stories, The Lion Inside. 🦁📖
Students also enjoyed drawing their favourite book characters in Block 5. Their creations will come together in a colourful display celebrating our Flinders Park Primary School “Symphony of Stories”, this year’s Book Week theme.
We look forward to sharing more wonderful stories throughout the week! 🎶📚

Did you know?

Here at Flinders Park PS we have an unlikely little spot tucked between Block 3, 4 and 5 that seems to be perfect for “What’s the time Mr Wolf?” and “Mother May I?” and “Poison Letter”.

Over many years of visiting or working at the school you may have passed students of all ages playing here. It’s an unspoken tradition that keeps passing on from one cohort of students to the next. 🫶🏻

Virtual Child Health Service

The Virtual Child Health Service is available free of charge for country WA families.

The attached flyer contains a QR code to book a session and online workshops including Toilet Skills for Kindy, Terrific Toddlers, Solid Start, and Let's Sleep.
