WORKSHOP IN ALBANY

Smart Steps: Making smarter choices, taking smarter steps
Date: Tuesday 8th September, 2020
Time: 3:30pm – 5:30pm
Venue: Great Southern Engagement Centre, 117 Serpentine Road, Albany, WA.

This workshop targets early childhood educators working with children aged 0-8 years old. Participants will receive a free Smart Steps resource pack and gain an understanding about how to engage children in road safety education.

Workshop outcomes
This workshop provides participants with the opportunity to:

explore why children are at risk in traffic and how to guide them to become safer road users

unpack the Smart Steps resources about passenger and pedestrian safety, and safety on wheels

explore strategies to engage children in road safety education and how to embed this into their early learning curriculum and practices

consider the links between Smart Steps and the Early Years Learning Framework, WA Health and Physical Education Syllabus, Kindergarten Curriculum Guide and National Quality Standards.

FDC Educators who operate as independent contractors to your service ring the ATO or call your accountant ASAP. Recent information from the department is advising your JK should continue whilst the transitional payment is for the approved service who is no longer eligible for JK!

Another example of a confusing double standard system. We will be seeking advice tommorrow but ask FDCA, Accountant or ATO for clarification

Elite educators are caring for families during COVID-19

COVID-19 .. we are caring for your family 24/7

Our educators operate from their home with typically 4 children under preschool age in care with a maximum of seven children in care at anytime. This means your children only have one educator the whole time they are in care. Whilst our small group setting allows for increased hygiene control.

Our educators have increased their safety procedures including hand washing stations outside homes, designated parent pick up and drop offs with some asking parents to wait outside. These are just some of the measures in place to limit infection.

Finally our educators provide childcare during the day as well as overnight and weekends. A great option for those needing to work from home but are not having much luck with children distracting you or for those fortunate to be working in roles that require additional hours. No need to run out of work to get to daycare before it closes.

Our child care is approved the same as long day care services as such eligible families can still access CCS.

Tracy's Family Day Care located in Yakamia off Chester Pass Road provides weekday, overnight and weekend child care services for children aged 0-12 years in addition to before/after school and vacation care.
