We had a play date today so I got a little fancy and made some lemon scented fizzing cloud dough! I'm loving including essential oils into our play for maximum sensory benefits.

Purple lavender essential oil scented rice. Perfect to wind down with of a afternoon.

I've started using essential oils in our sensory play and it has really taken it to another level.

I've been working at a Kindergarten and we have been using a lot of scented play dough/rice and other activities for a little boy with autism. He has responded so well to it and is really focused and engages when we do these types of activities.

HI Everyone, Hope you are all well. Its been a while since we have run any classes. Imogen and Spencer are now a little older and I have an opportunity for some special Sensory Play classes coming up soon... Pop up classes if you like! Spaces will be very limited. More information coming soon.

Invitation to play - All I set up was three bowls, one with water, one with coconut flour (I wouldn't recommend it, sooo messy and doesn't dissolve!) and the last one with scoops, spoons and cups etc.

My two had so much fun, Imogen was drawing in the flour and making patterns, Spencer was splashing it everywhere, both loved pouring the water in the flour and making it all thick and gooey.

Great fine motor practice, independent play (with myself closing watching as Spencer did try to eat a few handfuls!) and a added bonus of the coconut flour was the smell. Evoking all of their senses as they played. A great sensory experience.

Try at home but maybe just use corn flour!!
