This year we celebrated mothers day by holding Deenies Family Daycare 1st ever Art Gallery. The mums were all invited to opening night.
The children showcased all their paintings, drawings, string and stick creations, but the main feature of the show was the children's ' broken toy sculptures' that we have been working on for quite a few weeks.
These look amazing and the children learnt about reusing and recycling and how one person's trash can definitely be made into treasures.
The mums were also treated by the children making them yummy cups of Milo and some delicious treats made by the children.
I Hope the mums all have an amazing day today.

My wonderful families surprised me this morning with a lovely bouquet of flowers, chocolates and a card.

A few weeks ago we celebrated a very special occasion, the graduation of 4 of my very special people.
This event was made even more more memorable because the 2 boys were my pioneer students when I opened up almost 5 years ago when they were only 8 months old, and the girls have both been with me for over 3 years.
It was awesome to be able to celebrate these 4 wonderful children with their families and reminisce about their growth and development over the time in my care.
As sad as it will be for me not to see them everyday, I wish them all the best of luck for their future and have already heard reports on how much they are enjoying themselves in Prep.
Thanks to all my wonderful families for allowing me to be a big part of their lives and letting me share this story with everyone.

Deenies Family Daycare has a rare vacancy come up on a Wednesday and Friday.
Ideally a child from 2 years and older would fit in perfectly with the group of children I currently have in care. Extra days could be available next year when some of my children head to prep.
I'm located within walking distance to Albany Hills state school and many playgrounds, parks and nature areas which we frequently go on walking excursions to explore.
I love changing my environment to suit the children's evolving interests and developmental needs which results in an engaging and stimulating space for the children to grow and develop.

Happy Mother's Day to my amazing daycare mums and all the rest of the mums out there.
The children were very busy all week making beautiful sand jars, designing mums faces and Creating some awesome cards for mum.
We celebrated by holding a high tea party where after the children applied face masks and cucumber to their mums made them an iced tea and provided them with a plate full of goodies we cooked during the week.
It was a lovely day celebrating one of the most special people in our lives ❤️

The children showed such community spirit and kindness this week.
All year we have watched our local Recycling Truck driver empty our Recycling bin and he has shown us kindness by letting us look in his truck as well as bringing the children colouring in and toy bins to keep.
Each fortnight the children get very excited to hear the truck coming and wave when they see him.
Last week the children made a giant Christmas card for him with lots of drawings and pictures as well as baking him some Christmas cookies.
When we gave it to him this morning he was very surprised and grateful to them.
I love the children's involvement in the community and appreciation for the job he does.
