Edge of Excellence Tuition

As teachers prepare to deliver their units online, we too are preparing to switch to online tuition services in the case that we are not permitted to continue working face-to-face. These services will mainly be helpful in providing assistance with homework and assignments. Current students can speak to their tutors directly to organise these services.
If schools do completely shut down and all education is provided online, many students will need extra support with their assignments. Providing online services may also allow us to take on new students, so please feel free to contact us if your child is needing some help!
Online services will include:
- $25/hr Zoom sessions: schedule a virtual session where the student and their tutor can speak to and see each other, as well as share their screens so they can see each other working on the assignment documents, etc.
- $10 assignment review: email a copy of the student's assignment to us and a tutor will review the document, adding notes and comments advising what needs to be added/deleted/fixed, etc.

We are all booked out for term one! All of our tutors are completely booked out every afternoon until late. Please feel free to still enquire about a tutor however we can not guarantee any will be available for term one!

With NAPLAN only a couple weeks away, make sure you book in a session with us! We will take your child through practice NAPLAN tests and explain how to answer the types of questions they'll come across in the tests.
It's important to note that while we want our children to try their best in the NAPLAN tests, it does not contribute to their report card and we want to make sure that they don't experience too much stress during the tests. Having the children prepared for the test can reduce this stress. Book in a session today!

This year we have five experienced tutors who, between them, cover every school subject from grade 1 to grade 12, from maths, English and science, to IT and drama. We can also tutor tafe students, adult students completing grade 12 equivalency courses, and many university subjects. Our tutors are all either registered teachers or are university students completing their final years of study or honours/masters degrees. Our tutors have experience working with people with disabilities and learning difficulties. Happy 2019! It's now time to start organising everything for the start of the school year, including tuition!
2019 is an interesting year for year 11 and 12 students. Year 12 students will be the last cohort being given assignments directly from teachers, and the last cohort completing the QCS test and receiving an OP score.
Year 11 students will be the first cohort going through on the new system, which means external exams and assignments that cover two terms of work rather than just one (and not even the teachers will know exactly what is on them).
This new system is going to be extremely challenging for this first cohort, so contact us today to organise a tutor to help them through it!

We've welcomed two new tutors to our team, Callan and Tayla! Callan is a final year education student who specialises in English and Japanese up to a university level, as well as junior maths and science. Know anyone who's worried about the QCS tests?
Learning Success Tuition will be offering a 10 week QCS preparation course (2 hours per week). This course will cover the core skills and CCE's needed for all four exams. One of our dedicated tutors will take you through real QCS questions so you are prepared to answer the types of questions that will be on the exams.
This course is open to year 12 students, and year 11 students who want to get an extra head start. There are limited places so inquire today!
