We felt 's presence at last night's CONNECT night. 1 smile, 1 word, 1 gesture. So much peace.

Praise the Lord; these teenagers are changing and their faith is growing because they know that they are loved and that He has great plans for them.

A big thank you:
- to the Gounder family for the entertainment and the fire pits;
- to Pastor Siutu for his special messages of growth, life and hope;
- to the Riverside staff for supervising, and
- to our amazing Chaplain Mrs O., and her family, for organising this popular termly event of fun, faith and food.

πŸ’¦πŸ”πŸ“‰ Water Conservation Workshop
Our 1/2s learnt to conduct a real water audit.

With buckets, measuring jugs, our 3/4 EcoMarine Ambassadors and Kassi from the EcoMarines Foundation , the students collected water from bubblers and pretend tap leaks, over a 15-second period, and saw how much water was wasted.

A tap leaking just 2-3 drops every 15 seconds - or 10 drops per minute - can waste 1,000 litres a year!

As only 3% of the Earth's water is fresh water (and 97% too salty for drinking or growing crops), it is important to be responsible water users.

WE CAME SECOND! πŸŽ‰πŸ…πŸ™
Our students' perseverance and team spirit helped us come πŸ₯ˆ2ndπŸ₯ˆin the Average Shield (total score divided by the number of students enrolled).

What an achievement, Riverside!

We had 1st places, 2nd places, 3rd places, participation points and personal bests. Congratulations everyone!

"May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

4 students have been recognised in Chapel for honouring God through their actions and words.

Yesterday, we heard of a humble and discreet student who makes Jesus his priority by doing his school work without seeking attention nor praise, valuing authentic friendships and never missing an opportunity to pray, even on school Camp.

Another Riverside student was spotted by a teacher from a different school cheering all the participants, not just her peers, at a recent sport event, and inspiring her friends to do the same.

A learner was commended for his focus in class, involvement in Chapel and Church, and for his participation in all of our school events (including ANZAC Day when he honoured Desmond Doss).

Also a proud moment for a quiet achiever who completes school tasks and homework to the best of her ability, and prayed out loud in the classroom for the very first time last week .

Thank you to Cowboys Community Leader Bree for visiting our school last week and having a meaningful conversation about good leadership.

Our Seniors shared some of their leadership roles at home, at school and in the wider community, and gained insight into Bree's personal journey.

The students challenged Bree to a race and were humbled by her determination to be the best version of herself.
