Our Certificate I in Maritime Operations (General Purpose Hand Near Coastal) is coming up for a limited three-day course starting Monday 21 September.

Designed for those looking to get their foot in the door of the maritime industry, this qualification covers the skills needed to work onboard commercial vessels under supervision, from deck maintenance and general vessel operations to working as part of a crew.

🎓 Congratulations to our latest MAR30824 Certificate III in Maritime Operations (Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 Near Coastal) graduates!

After 2.5 weeks of theory, practical training and plenty of time getting hands-on with marine engineering, our students have officially completed their course and received their certificates. ⚓️
This nationally recognised qualification is an important step towards an AMSA Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 Near Coastal Certificate of Competency and a career in the maritime industry.

Ready to take the next step in your maritime career? Our MARSS00048 Coxswain Grade 3 Skill Set is coming up 24–25 August, and there are only a few places remaining.

Over two days, you’ll gain essential seamanship and vessel-handling skills, including how to safely operate and handle vessels up to 12 metres. The course combines face-to-face training, assessment and practical vessel handling, with compulsory pre-course study to complete beforehand.

Ready to take the next step in your maritime career? Our Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal course starts 31 August at the Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre. ⚓️

This 2.5-week, face-to-face course runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4pm, and provides the qualification pathway to command and operate a vessel under 12m in inshore or designated waters. 🚤

🎓 Qualification: MAR20324 Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal)
đź“š 13 core units, covering navigation, seamanship, vessel handling, propulsion systems, regulations and more.

The course includes pre-study and face-to-face training. Additional AMSA requirements apply, including qualifying sea service, medical and eyesight requirements, a Marine Radio Operator VHF Certificate and the AMSA-mandated practical assessment.
