Whether you’re heading offshore, cruising the coast, or working on the water, knowing how to use your marine radio correctly is an essential skill.

Join us on 11 June for our Long Range Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency (LROCP) course and gain the qualification to operate both VHF and MF/HF marine radio equipment.

During the course, you’ll learn how to:
✅ Operate marine radio equipment
✅ Make routine and distress calls
✅ Understand Digital Selective Calling (DSC) procedures
✅ Send a Mayday call and distress alert
✅ Use dual watch functions and radio protocols

Successful completion allows you to operate marine radios on vessels and maritime coast stations, providing an essential skill set for safe and effective communication at sea.

Today’s First Aid course was all about learning lifesaving skills — with plenty of hands-on CPR practice! Did you know that immediate CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival after cardiac arrest? Every second counts.

We’re especially proud that this course was made up entirely of women who stepped up to learn skills that could one day save a life. 💪⚓

Building skills, confidence and careers on the water! ⚓🌊

Our students have been putting in the hard work during the MED 2 course — MAR30824 Certificate III in Maritime Operations (Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 Near Coastal) — gaining the practical knowledge and hands-on experience needed for roles within the maritime industry.

This qualification prepares students for pathways including working as a Chief or Second Engineer on a range of commercial vessels, assisting engineering crews, and operating within vessel engine rooms under AMSA certification requirements.

Throughout the course, students develop valuable real-world skills in marine engines, vessel operations, safety procedures and teamwork, all while learning in an engaging and supportive environment.

We’re proud to see our students growing in confidence, building industry experience and taking the next steps toward their maritime careers. 👏⚓
