We are up to Episode 14 already on the trip to Thailand via QLD north coast, Indonesia and Malaysia. Currently we are anchored at Horn Island where we need to get our paperwork in order so we can clear out as the wind eases towards the end of this week.

After a very long wait for Covid to settle down and allow unfettered (mostly) travel throughout Asia by boat, we are finally gunna cast off the lines and are heading to Thailand via Indonesia and Malaysia.

We plan to depart Australia around mid to late August from Thursday Island and have friends (like you) join us on a share expenses basis for legs up the Australian Coast and through Indonesia and Malaysia.

If you've ever wanted to join a remote sailing expedition, jumping onboard with us could be your chance. We have places still available with the journey broken up into manageable legs. Some short, some long.

What are we looking for in our crew for this remote expedition ?

You need to be physically and mentally fit for remote places.
Age/sex is not a factor.
You need to be calm, relaxed and unflappable.
You need to know when it's time to get excited and when it's time to just be alone and chill.
Sailing experience is not necessary, but reliability is.
You need to be humble and accepting of others and their points of view as long distance, remote sailing requires that all crew get along on a small boat without tension and conflict.

I love keeping in touch with people who have sailed with us. One of my more memorable students contacted me a couple of days ago to proudly tell me about her book launch for her new book "I Give You Hope".

It's a huge achievement to write a book, let alone go through the publishing and launch of it, so Carol, I take my hat off to you once again. You're definitely making the most of life and I look forward very much to having you back onboard around August and will purchase a copy if you sign it for me :)
