What an incredible day at our 2026 Athletics Carnival!

Students gave their all across a fantastic range of events, including track races, shot put, discus and javelin. The enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship on display throughout the day were outstanding. We were thrilled to see so many personal bests achieved and an impressive number of records broken! The beautiful weather also made for a perfect day.

A huge thank you to our wonderful parents and families who came along to support and cheer on our students. Your encouragement helped made the day extra special.

We would also like to sincerely thank our dedicated staff and volunteers whose hard work, organisation and commitment ensured the carnival ran so smoothly.

Most importantly, thank you to our students for making the day so much fun. The energy, excitement and house spirit on display created a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish.

What a fantastic night at our Primary Disco!

Organised by our amazing Year 6 students, the 70s and 80s themed disco was a huge success!

From bright colours and funky fashion to groovy dance moves, everyone embraced the theme and looked absolutely incredible in their outfits. The night was filled with excitement, laughter and plenty of dancing as students enjoyed a fun-filled evening!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event. All funds raised from the disco will go towards supporting our Year 6 students on their Canberra Trip in Term 3.

These students have been recognised for consistently demonstrating the values of Discovery Christian College through their character, attitude and effort.

We are incredibly proud of you all. Well done on this well deserved achievement!

Talk about resilience! All this term our Year 7 and Year 9 Rugby League teams have been battling some incredibly strong Bundaberg sides. Through all this, they have never given up.

All that hard work and persistence paid off on Wednesday when the Year 7 DCC boys put together an absolutely amazing winning performance against Shalom! They showcased incredible determination, teamwork and spirit to secure an exciting victory.

A massive congratulations to the Year 7 boys for breaking through, and a huge shoutout to our Year 9 squad for their continued grit and effort each week.

A massive congratulations to our three DCC Boys Touch Football teams who travelled down to Caboolture for the CSSAQ Touch Footy competition this week!

All three of our teams performed amazingly well throughout the day, showcasing incredible skill, teamwork and determination. We are incredibly proud to share that all teams made it to the semi-finals! A special shoutout to our Senior Boys team, who fought hard all the way to the end, finishing as runners-up after an incredibly close Grand Final match. Also to three of our DCC secondary girls also attended and were referees.

Awesome effort from all of our players, referees, coaches and supporters.

Well done to the Primary Soccer Team who proudly represented DCC in the Christian Schools Sports Association QLD competition in Brisbane this week! We are very proud of the boys commitment to their team.

The boys were resilient against some tough competition. They recovered after making mistakes without quitting and most importantly they had fun!

Special shout out to Sully for being player of the team and winning the merit cap!

Get Ready to Groove at Our Primary Disco!

Join us this Friday 5th June, from 5:00pm–6:30pm at DCC for a night of music, dancing and fun!

Our Year 6 students are excited to be hosting this special event! All funds raised will help support their exciting Term 3 trip to Canberra.

The theme this year is 70s & 80s, so come dressed in your grooviest outfit! Tickets can be purchased through the Spriggy App or at the door.

This event is for DCC Primary students. We can't wait to see everyone on the dance floor for a fantastic evening of disco fun!

A huge shout out to three of our talented AFL students who have proudly represented Wide Bay this year!

Arabella Austin (pictured), Maya Darling and Carter Lee were all selected to represent Wide Bay in AFL following a full day of highly competitive trial matches earlier this year! An outstanding achievement and a testament to their hard work, skill and dedication to the sport.

Having achieved this the students then travel to the AFL Queensland Schools Sport State Championships to compete. Arabella has recently returned from a week competing at the 13–14 Years Schools Sport State Championships in Townsville, while Maya and Carter will compete in the 15–17 Years Championships later this year in Brisbane.

We are incredibly proud of these students for their commitment and achievements and we look forward to following their AFL journeys throughout the year.
