🌟 Happy Educators’ Day! 🌟
Today we celebrate our incredible educators who make such a difference in the lives of our children.
Every single day, our educators arrive ready to take on the day even when they have no idea what that day might bring!
They celebrate the little victories, comfort the big tears, answer the endless questions, join in the silly games, sing songs, read stories and sometimes just sit quietly beside a child who needs them.
And through it all, our educators are constantly thinking, planning, creating and designing wonderful experiences for our little learners. Experiences that spark curiosity, encourage discovery and shape little minds. Experiences that help children understand how the world works, build relationships, develop confidence and learn who they are.
That is what makes an our team so special.

So this morning, we’d love our families to help us celebrate our amazing team! 🎉
When you arrive, please take a moment to wish our educators a Happy Educators’ Day and let them know they are appreciated. A smile, a kind word or a simple “thank you” can mean more than you know.

💛 Saying Goodbye to a Very Special Educator 💛

Today we say goodbye to Shania a very special member of our Hillbank family. After 7 years of dedicated service she is moving on to her next chapter.

Over the past seven years, she has been so much more than an educator. She has been a trusted colleague, a passionate advocate for children, a mentor to others and an important part of our leadership team as an Educational Leader.

Her passion for early childhood education, her commitment to supporting children’s learning and development, and the care she has shown to the children, families and educators at Hillbank have made a lasting impact on our centre.

There have been countless memories, learning moments, laughs, challenges and celebrations along the way — and we are so grateful that she has been part of our journey for the past seven years. 💕

While we are incredibly sad to see her leave, we are also excited for what the future holds for her and wish her nothing but happiness and success in her next adventure.

Thank you for your dedication, your passion, your support and, most importantly, for the difference you have made in the lives of so many children.

You will always be a part of the Hillbank family. 💛

It's with heartfelt thanks that we say goodbye to our long serving maintenance man Trevor Arnold.
For more than 13years, you have generously given your time, skills and kindness to Hillbank community children's centre, and we cannot thank you enough.
Your unwavering commitment and willingness to lend a helping hand have made a lasting difference to our centre and the wider community, your contributions have helped make our centre a better place for everyone.
Thank you for your dedication, generosity and the countless hours you have volunteered over the years. We are incredibly grateful for everything you have done.

Thanks to the incredible support of our families and community, we raised $750 through our raffle and bake sale at our Exhibition of Learning.

We are delighted to share that these funds have enabled us to upgrade our Evacuation Cot!

Emergency evacuation cots ensure the safe evacuation of our non-walking little ones during emergency drills and, if ever required, in the event of a real emergency.

Today we celebrated World Friendship Day by recognising the importance of kindness, caring and the special friendships we build every day at our centre.

Throughout the day, the children created beautiful friendship cards to share with one another and with their educators. Sharing kind words and celebrating the connections they have formed.

These simple acts of kindness help children develop empathy, a sense of belonging and an understanding of how meaningful friendships can make others feel valued. We loved seeing the smiles that came with both giving and receiving these special cards.

What an incredible evening we shared at our Exhibition of Learning Night.

We would like to sincerely thank all of our families, community members and special guests who attended and helped make the evening such a success. It was wonderful to see so many people take the time to celebrate the learning, growth and achievements of the children, while gaining an insight into the incredible work that happens within our centre every day.

We were also honoured to welcome visits from several of our local politicians, whose presence and support of early childhood education and our community-based service was greatly appreciated.

This evening would not have been possible without the dedication, passion and commitment of our amazing educators. They invested an enormous amount of time, creativity and care into creating inspiring displays that reflected the children's learning journeys and showcased the thoughtful, intentional work that takes place across all of our learning environments. We are incredibly proud of what our team achieved.

Monday July 27th is our Exhibition of learning night!

This is a wonderful opportunity to visit your child's learning environment, explore their experiences and achievements, and see the incredible learning that has taken place throughout the year. Our educators are looking forward to sharing the children's journeys with you and celebrating everything they have accomplished.

And don't forget we are running a bake sale and raffle with some exciting prizes!!!
