While the world feels increasingly divided and chaotic, and while I am fully aware of the limited capacity of our small team, moments like these remind me why we continue.
Seeing Afghan girls receive an education when much of the world has turned its back on them, and when they are denied this basic right by an oppressive regime in their own country, fills me with both hope and determination.
What our team offers may seem small a helping hand, a gesture of care, an act of compassion but for these girls, it represents opportunity, dignity, and hope for a better future.
One thing continues to inspire me: humanity always finds a way. And hope, no matter how fragile it may seem, is what keeps us alive and moving forward, even in our darkest moments, reminding us that every act of kindness matters and that a brighter future is still worth believing in.

Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science!
Even when the world forgets them, even when media and global attention turn away, Afghan girls still dream, still learn, and still breathe hope into a brighter future.

When schools were shut for Afghan girls and their right to education was taken away, they did not stop dreaming. They picked up their books anyway.
Every lesson they learn is an act of defiance against injustice a quiet resistance against a regime that tried to erase their future.

At Afghanistan Culture Day, organised by Federation of Afghan Communities of SA - FACSA in collaboration with Afghan Australian Women Association, Afghan Association South Australia, and Afghan Communities Council of Australia, individuals who have significantly supported Afghan girls’ underground education in Afghanistan were honoured with Certificates of Appreciation.
Their dedication was recognised in front of hundreds of guests, acknowledging their courage, commitment, and solidarity with Afghan girls who have been denied their basic right to education.
This proud moment will remain part of history a reminder that thousands of kilometres away from Afghanistan, there are people who chose to stand beside Afghan girls when their voices were silenced and their rights taken away.
On behalf of all Afghan girls who continue to learn through your hard work and sacrifice,
congratulations and heartfelt thanks. 🖤♥️💚

Despite bans and fear, these girls continue to learn in underground classrooms, choosing hope over silence.
Every lesson they take is an act of courage and a powerful reminder that education is a fundamental human right, not a privilege to be denied.
