Today, on R U OK? Day, our Year 6 students shared kindness, care and connection with those in our community through heartfelt written messages.
At Star of the Sea, we are committed to nurturing a community where everyone feels seen, supported and connected. A simple conversation, a kind word, or taking the time to check in can mean so much to someone who may be doing it tough. Today, our Year 6 students beautifully demonstrated the importance of kindness, empathy and genuine care for others, reminding us all of the power of making people feel valued, heard and connected. 💛

Year 5 Camp Day 1 got off to a fantastic start, with students enthusiastically taking on exciting challenges including archery, rock climbing, and a range of team-building activities. The highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated Celebrity Quiz Night, where students dressed up as their favourite celebrities and put their celebrity knowledge to the test. Congratulations to our quiz champions and Best Dressed winners for their outstanding efforts! We are looking forward to another fun-filled day of camp adventures and creating more wonderful memories together

🌟 Father's Day Celebrations 🌟

It was wonderful to see so many of our amazing dads and grandads at Star of the Sea this morning as we came together to celebrate Father's Day.

A huge thank you to our incredible P&F for organising such a fantastic breakfast for our families. We are also grateful to Connor, Dee, Mick and our Leadership Team for their support in helping make the morning such a success.

The celebrations continued with some of our dads and grandads visiting the Reception classrooms, creating special memories.

Thank you to all who joined us. It was a lovely way to celebrate the important fathers, grandfathers and father figures in the lives of our students, and wishing them a wonderful day on Sunday.

🌟 Making a Difference Through Service 🌟

On Monday, our Justice Leaders enjoyed a special visit to St Hilarion Nursing Home as part of our community outreach initiatives.

The students helped serve morning tea and shared their time with residents through singing, dancing, conversation, and plenty of smiles. It was a wonderful opportunity to build connections across generations and brighten someone's day.

The morning was filled with laughter, kindness, and compassion, reminding us all of the importance of serving others and fostering a strong sense of community.

We are incredibly proud of our students and the positive impact they continue to make. 💙

Congratulations to Fitzpatrick Team! 💛

A huge congratulations to the Gold Team for earning the most PBIS tokens over the past five weeks! To celebrate this fantastic achievement, students proudly wore their team colours today.

This success reflects the commitment of our students across all year levels to living out our school-wide behaviour expectations by being kind, safe and responsible each day. We are incredibly proud of the positive choices our students continue to make and the way they contribute to our school community.

Well done, Fitzpatrick! As a whole school, we now look ahead to working together towards achieving our end-of-term PBIS target. Keep up the great work, everyone! 🌟

This week, Star of the Sea has been filled with colour, creativity and excitement as we celebrate Book Week 2026 and this year's theme, A Symphony of Stories. Students and staff embraced the spirit of the week through our much-loved Book Week Parade, showcasing an array of wonderful costumes inspired by favourite book characters and stories.
