🎶 South Australian young singers and music educators — Don't miss out! 🎶

Applications are now open for the 2027 Gondwana National Choral School, bringing together talented singers aged 10-25 from across Australia for two immersive weeks of outstanding choral music in Ballarat this January.

Young singers have the chance to work with internationally acclaimed guest conductors and leading Australian choral specialists, make music with like-minded peers from across the country, and perform in major concerts, including a collaboration with The Cat Empire and Orchestra Victoria at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

This program is also a gateway to further opportunities with Gondwana National Choirs, including national and international touring. Singers aged 18+ can audition for Gondwana Chorale and the opportunity to tour South Africa in 2027.

Professional development opportunities will also be available for music educators and conductors, offering the chance to observe leading choral practitioners, discover new repertoire and teaching approaches, and connect with colleagues from Australia and overseas.

📣📣Introducing internationally recognised neuromusical educator Dr Anita Collins 🎉

Dr Anita Collins is a neuromusical educator and leading authority on how learning music strengthens cognitive development and drives measurable improvements in learning performance. She translates the latest neuroscience into practical insights, demonstrating how music learning enhances multiple areas of brain development, including literacy, self-regulation, academic achievement and long-term cognitive growth.

Anita is the author of The Music Advantage and the founder of Bigger Better Brains, a global initiative that helps educators, parents and system leaders understand the cognitive benefits of music learning. Her work focuses on research translation that supports systems change at every level, helping schools, education systems and countries design and sustain high-quality music learning programs that reliably improve student outcomes.
