It's Not Garbage - Creative Play Resources

Providing recycled resources for STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics. And, to do our bit for the environment!

And creating awareness and connections in the community about children's learning, resourcing and sustainability. I have created this page and business for those like me who have fun turning garbage into creative play resources! To source materials that are educational, particularly for Early Learners, and readily available to educators. All of these resources will be landfill or at best recycled.

Some very exciting news to follow
Congratulations Outside the Box Learning!

Iโ€™m excited to share that Iโ€™m leading the T2D STEM Futures program through Outside the Box Learning.

This project has grown from the seed of an idea...a belief that the major infrastructure being built around our schools could become a living classroom. That tunnels, bridges, engineering and design were the perfect fit for playful learning in primary schools.

I'll be sharing a lot of loose parts play...the remnants of children's thinking. What sits behind this is problem solving. Collaboration. Innovation. Resilience. Testing ideas. Rebuilding. Trying again.

STEM Futures opens up possibility. It invites students to understand the world taking shape around them and connects them with some of the cleverest minds working on this project.

And sometimesโ€ฆ it looks like a wombat crossing a bridge.

WOOD! A beautiful resource ๐Ÿ’š
I had to stop scrolling my favourite wood photos!
I aim to always have wood offcuts in store and welcome enquiries, orders and deliveries regarding any of the items in display

NATURE BOXES.
As the seasons change, we are reminded of the importance of engaging in outdoor activities that promote wellbeing and adventure. The variety of seed pods that Nature provides, their intricate life cycles and symbiotic connections that exist within our ecosystem, make for a captivating experience. This natural world serves as a wonderful classroom.
Upon discovering the availability of balsa nest boxes, which are actually seconds, I found an ideal fusion of nature and sustainability. These nests of four can be purchased for $20 either directly from Balsa Central at Melrose Park or at my shop. I try to have a couple of nature boxes available at my shop each week too. For further information, contact me via messenger.

Rudi entered his little robots in the Royal Adelaide Show recently, and popped in to show us on Saturday - his previous reused purchases became legs, faces and other amazing features. Thankyou so much Rudi, your enthusiasm and creativity is inspiring, you are so lucky to have grandparents on hand to drill the holes for you.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
