Spiny Leaf Insects….. we have all been fascinated by these incredible creatures.
Whilst learning about these insects, the children have had the opportunity to observe, hold and touch them, share their thoughts, ask questions and create pictures of them.
Fun facts:
🍂Spiny leaf insects belong to a well camouflaged group of insects called phasmids.
🍂They are native to Australia and are mostly found on Eucalyptus trees.
🍂They mimic the leaves they feed on and usually look like dead leaves, for camouflage.

We had so much fun today with a visit from the Metropolitan Fire Service. 🚒🔥🧯
The firefighters showed and talked to us about their jobs, the equipment they use and ways in which we can keep ourselves safe from fires.
