Everymind has released its free professional development program for family day care educators, managers and coordinators, nationally, with the support of Family Day Care Australia.

The ‘Supporting the mental health of children’ online program is specifically tailored to promote positive mental health and wellbeing in family day care services. The program equips family day care educators, managers and coordinators with the skills and confidence to maintain key partnerships with families and other professionals, create positive environments, and support children’s social and emotional wellbeing.

The program will be available to those working in family day care until June 2022 as part of a research project evaluating its effectiveness.

Today is National Close the Gap Day ❤️

It's our priority to ensure each Aboriginal child and young person is a proud and confident learner, achieving at their highest potential.

The Aboriginal Education Strategy 2019-2029 expands across the early years into schooling and is followed by pathways to success beyond school. ✏️

The strategy was informed by consultation with Aboriginal students, families, communities and our workforce.

Closing the Gap is a shared goal and a shared responsibility. It means seeking, hearing, and respecting the voices of Aboriginal staff and experts, and encouraging participation of Aboriginal students, parents, carers, families and communities across our services.
