Through the fast-paced game ā€œFlippersā€, students in Room 2 are consolidating their recall of multiplication facts, directly supporting the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics achievement standards for number and algebra. This learning experience fosters mathematical Fluency and Understanding, while encouraging students to apply strategic thinking and improve their Problem-Solving and Reasoning abilities.

Aligned with the South Australian Curriculum and the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics, ā€œFlippersā€ engages students with what they need to know (content descriptions), what they need to be able to do (skills and proficiencies), and builds their identity as confident, persistent, and collaborative learners. Students take responsibility for their learning progress, challenge themselves, articulate their mathematical thinking, and communicate effectively with peersā€”demonstrating growth across the General Capabilities, particularly personal and social capability, and critical and creative thinking.

At Ingle Farm Primary School, learning is made even more powerful when students can explain their processes, share their understanding, and inspire others to take risks and have a goā€”building the skills and dispositions necessary to apply mathematics in a range of authentic contexts.

BOOK WEEK 2026: SYMPHONY OF STORIES
What a wonderful week of stories, imagination and creativity at The Farm!

Throughout the week, students took part in a special incursion connecting literature with outdoor learning and nature play. Through hands-on activities inspired by this yearā€™s theme, students were encouraged to explore, create, wonder and imagine, fostering a sense of adventure, curiosity and creativity beyond the pages of a book.

We also had plenty of fun celebrating stories in our library, before finishing the week with our Book Week Dress-Up Parade! From much-loved characters to some seriously creative costumes, our students and staff absolutely brought the stories to life on Friday.

A huge thank you to our staff, families and community for helping make Book Week such a memorable celebration. ā¤ļøšŸ’™

One very special member of The Farm who doesnā€™t wear a school uniformā€¦ but still manages to be one of the most popular faces in the yard - our Gracie girlšŸ¶šŸ„°

Gracie brings plenty of smiles, cuddles and wagging tails to our school community, and as you can see, our students absolutely love spending time with her.

Year 6 is such an important year, as our students step up and take on new challenges to prepare for the exciting transition to high school. Our Seniors have opportunities to apply for leadership roles and present on our student news program, Behind the Farm.

Mr Porter is passionate about creating a classroom where students feel supported to challenge themselves, think independently and take ownership of their learning.

From building confidence and resilience to encouraging curiosity, teamwork and leadership, itā€™s all about helping our senior students make the most of their final year of primary school.
