Strong partnerships are at the heart of meaningful research impact 🤝
This week, the Flinders Trauma and Injury team joined the School of Population Health on Bidjigal Land (Sydney) to share projects, exchange ideas, and explore more opportunities for collaboration.
By bringing together diverse expertise and perspectives, collaboration allows us to better address complex challenges, improve outcomes for communities, and strengthen our collective voice when advocating for meaningful change 💪

National Reconciliation Week 2026 🖤💛❤️
This year’s theme, All In, is a reminder that reconciliation is ongoing work that requires commitment from all Australians.
For many years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have led the work of advocacy and reform. But reconciliation is not the responsibility of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people alone.
Reconciliation involves collective action - advocating for equity, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership, amplifying Aboriginal voices, and recognising the responsibility institutions, organisations and individuals all have in creating change. It also means listening, reflecting, and using our voices to challenge systems and drive meaningful change. ✊

Last week’s SMART-PH co-design workshops 🤩
The SMART-PH project is developing a first-of-its-kind statewide public health data platform for South Australia in collaboration with the Department of Health and 🤩 By linking public health data together, the project aims to support faster decisions and stronger community responses to health issues 🧡
Co-design is central to our work, and across the two workshop days stakeholders came together to explore the realities of working with public health data, share priorities and challenges, and discuss what organisations and communities would want from a future public health data platform 🤝
We’re incredibly grateful to our Indigenous and Consumer Governance Groups, alongside all of our stakeholders, for sharing their time, knowledge and perspectives throughout the workshops. Also very honoured to have SA’s Chief Public Health Officer and project Chief Investigator, Professor Nicola Spurrier, in attendance!!
Thank you to all of our collaborators who attended, including those from .gov.au .events

Safe workplaces also mean workplaces that are free from bullying, injustice, high job demand, trauma, and poor support.
If something at work has harmed you or feels unsafe, you can talk to someone, report it, explore compensation options, or reach out for confidential emotional support 📞🧡
