at the City of Unley was a resounding success!

๐Ÿ‘‰ Our Founder Sasha Dragovelic from Futurepreneurs Academy was thrilled to deliver an entrepreneurial workshop to a full room of young people โ€” with our youngest participant just 6 years old.

๐Ÿ’ฅ The energy in the room was incredible. The participants were engaged, inspiring, and asked outstanding questions throughout the session.

โœจ A special highlight was hearing from Thea Economos, a participant, who shared her journey.

โ— Thea already has three businesses, is studying at university, has been to Parliament House Canberra, and is doing impressive work with young entrepreneurs across Australia, all before turning 20. We could not be prouder of her achievements.

During the workshop, we explored:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Past participants and their success stories
๐ŸŒ Global, national, and local entrepreneurs and their achievements
๐Ÿ” The difference between entrepreneurship and business
โค๏ธ The importance of customers in any business
๐Ÿงฉ The entrepreneurial process and Business Model Canvas
๐Ÿค Who should be in your entrepreneurial dream team
๐Ÿ”‘ The real secret to networking

๐Ÿ“Œ Thank you to the parents who made time to support these budding entrepreneurs and help them build skills that will serve them for life.

๐Ÿ“Œ Thank you also to the teachers in the room for encouraging their students to participate. Enriched education at its best.

๐Ÿ’ฏ A big thank you to the awesome Laura De Bono for the amazing work she does each year coordinating the workshops, activities, and Pitch Night at the City of Unley.

โžก๏ธ I cannot wait to see and hear the ideas these young entrepreneurs bring to Pitch Night.

Get your applications in!
Donโ€™t miss this opportunity to transform your ideas ๐Ÿ’ก into ventures ๐Ÿ’ฐ

Applications are now open for Fish Tank: a program where young people 8โ€“25 years pitch their business ideas to a panel of industry judges for a chance to win funding ๐Ÿ’ฐ and mentorship ๐Ÿค

Last yearโ€™s first prize winner, Aria Bradley (pictured), reflected that as a young entrepreneur, โ€œprograms like Fish Tank are a crucial stepping stone in bringing our ideas to life.โ€

She revealed that the program โ€œwas the first step in making my business feel โ€˜real.โ€™ By preparing a pitch to investors, I was able to get crystal clear on my idea, and it was such a wonderful feeling to be believed in by people more experienced than me.โ€ ๐ŸŸ

Fish Tank, our Cityโ€™s flagship youth entrepreneurship program is BACK. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿš€

James (pictured right), our first prize winner from 2019, shared the impacts that the program has had on him:

โ€œParticipating in Fish Tank transformed my confidence - public speaking used to terrify me, and now I back myself to pitch and lead. It also made me feel part of a community of foundersโ€

He regarded that the guidance from the business mentoring that he received โ€œstill shapes how I build, validate and act upon ideas today within my new business, Future Finances.โ€
