BULLYING NO WAY WEEK | 17-21 August
National Week of Action

St Martin’s is an official school registered for 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, a national initiative that promotes respect, inclusion and belonging. Participation reflects our commitment to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

This year’s theme, ‘𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁,’ highlights how even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day. 🩵

Ahead of the week of national action, St Martin’s explored the importance of kindness and empathy during Wellbeing sessions. Students reflected on how their words and actions can affect others and considered ways to create a more supportive and respectful community.

Throughout this week, our School Captains will share daily messages over the PA system. Teachers have also been invited to involve students in Kids Helpline’s largest anti-bullying online lesson, while a range of daily activities will be undertaken during class time.

Together, we can continue to make St Martin’s a place where everyone feels respected, valued and connected. 🩵

𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲? We are proud to be featured in this year’s issue for our Frog Pond project. The magazine launched over the weekend and was included in The Advertiser’s Saturday edition.

‘𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆’ showcases the transformation of our Frog Pond into a thriving habitat that connects students with nature and inspires a commitment to caring for the environment. Our Year 4 students are helping nature thrive by planting native aquatic and surrounding vegetation, providing shelter, breeding areas and a reliable natural food source. They continue to monitor the habitat, observing how it attracts frogs and supports biodiversity over time.

The dedication of our Year 4 students, Mr Bolding and Mr Kuerschner, in creating and caring for this habitat has been central to the project. Through hands-on environmental initiatives such as this, students are continually encouraged to engage with, learn from, and appreciate the natural world.
