Which one of these are true for you and which one of these would make the most difference to you if you could overcome it?

1. Lack of clarity
- you don't really have any clear set goals and direction on what you want to do with your life or what would make you happy?

2. Self doubt and low confidence
- you constantly doubt whether you can do 'it', ie. imposter syndrome

3. Procrastinate and unmotivated
- you know what you 'should' do but for some reason, aren't doing it

4. Lack support and accountability
- you know that, when you make a promise to do something for someone else, you get it done. But when you are trying to do it alone, you struggle

5. Unfulfilling life choices
- life is 'ok' but not really firing you up!

6. Limited self awareness
- you know that you have it within you to achieve a lot more but you don't know what is holding you back!

7. Feeling frustrated, stuck or plateaued in life
- you don't know what it is but you're just feeling restless and frustrated due to a lack of progress in your life!

Good morning Powerful You ers!

LET'S TALK ABOUT IDENTITY!

Have you ever thought about why you think, feel and behave the way you do?

There is no one answer to this. It is a bit like a jigsaw puzzle, where there are a number of pieces that need to come together to 'answer' the question.

However, one of the biggest 'pieces of the puzzle' is you 'Identity'

Your identity is who you tell yourself you are.

Examples are;

I am....

A leader, parent, business owner, surfer, student, dad, mum, CEO, male, female, musician....and the list goes on.

As a result of giving yourself an identity, you act accordingly. You behave in a way that fits that identity.

You think in ways that match your identity, you dress to fit your identity, you hang out with other similar identities.

Now, being aware of this is powerful!

Why?

Because, if you're identity is who you tell yourself you are, then you have the ability to take on any identity you like!

Unfortunately, a lot of us take on identities of 'not good enough', 'imposters', 'lacking ability'....and as a result, we end up in negative thinking, emotions and behaviours and are ultimately unhappy.

What about if you take on a positive and powerful identity that is actually helping you to achieve what it is that you want?

If you've demonstrated and can see the impact of giving yourself a negative identity (by choice) then perhaps it's time to leverage this ability and to use it for good by taking on a positive, more useful identity!

The moral of the story - you are more powerful than you know and perhaps it time that you started to use this power for good!

How will you show up more intentionally.....or with better intent?

As we go about our day to day we don't often consciously think about what we say, why we say what we say, ie. how we communicate.

As a result, we often put our energy into the wrong place. We make a comment or ask a question that isn't necessarily useful to us or others.

By building the habit of 'thinking about your intent', in the moment, we focus on communicating the right thing, in the right way, at the right time....resulting in better communication and healthier interpersonal relationships!
