Sometimes you have to believe there is a higher power looking after you.

How do you even begin to comprehend something like this? One day, you’re fine. The next, your neighbours — two parents and their 3-year-old child — are suddenly gone. That’s my Tio’s story at dinner yesterday. 😞

Colombia gave me my husband, my family, and is part of my children’s identity. 🇨🇴

It could have been me. It could have been my family. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

And while some people worry about whether they’re spelling Colombia correctly, I’m worrying about the people living through this. I’m worrying about families who have lost everything, and wondering how something so devastating can happen in a single moment.

I’m still trying to reconcile it all.

My heart is with their loved ones and every family affected by this tragedy. ❤️🇨🇴

To every student, performer, instructor, volunteer, family member, sponsor, and every person who came along to celebrate with us—thank you. Thank you for your energy, your trust, your encouragement, and for helping create such a special day. Your support is what allows KOLS to continue growing and sharing the joy of Latin dance with our community.

We couldn’t have celebrated this milestone without you, and we’re so grateful to have you as part of the KOLS family.
