Just saw this on ABC News — police Tasers and body cams can be tracked due to a Bluetooth flaw.

These are multi-million dollar systems… and still not fully secure.

Now SA wants to move driver testing into a more tech-heavy, camera-based system under Department for Infrastructure and Transport reform.

Simple questions:

-If police tech can be exposed, what makes this system safer?
-How much will it actually cost?
-Who pays — public or learners?
-Who monitors cybersecurity ongoing?
-And if there’s a breach… who is responsible?

This isn’t anti-change.
It’s about getting it right before rolling it out.

SA needs answers — not assumptions.

Somewhere in Adelaide right now… someone invented a new right turn. DIT probably reviewing it as we speak 🤡🚦

This is the exact moment your instructor’s soul leaves their body 💀 Right turn ≠ audition for the wrong side of the road

Failed your Validation Drive?

Don’t give up. You’re not alone.

Many overseas drivers pass CBT&A or VORT… and then get stuck after a random validation failure. Confidence drops, L-permit stress kicks in, and no one tells you what actually went wrong.

That’s where Adelaide School of Driving (ASOD) makes the difference.

- Specialists in validation failures
- Strong experience with overseas licence conversions
- CBT&A & VORT done properly, not rushed
- Tailor-made training until you get your licence — not just a certificate

One of our recent students went from a failed validation to full licence in just 2 weeks after targeted retraining.

If you’ve failed a validation drive, audit, or test — talk to us before trying again.
Good training costs less than repeating failures.

Classic near miss where people push to make it through the AMBER light……In South Australia, an amber (yellow) traffic light means stop if you can do so safely, just like a red light, but you can proceed if you're too close to the stop line to stop without braking sharply or risking a rear-end collision.

There's also a separate rule (effective May 2025) for a flashing amber light on roadside assistance vehicles, requiring drivers to slow to 25 km/h to protect workers, but this doesn't apply to standard traffic lights.

MYTH BUSTED: You can pass VORT — even with a government auditor in the car....

Armaan came to Adelaide School of Driving with one simple goal: to become a safe, confident driver and pass his VORT.

Like many learners, his first attempt was a little rushed. That experience, however, gave him something far more valuable than a pass — it gave him real insight into what a VORT actually feels like, and how close he truly was to success.

Instead of losing confidence, Armaan and his family made a clear decision:
Train properly, and come back stronger.

Over the next few days, Armaan completed more than 8 hours of focused, structured training with our instructors Brijesh and Dhaval — working on judgement, lane positioning, hazard response, and calm, consistent control of the car.

Then came his second attempt.

As part of the Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) auditing process, a government-authorised auditor joined the test, sitting in the back seat alongside the VORT examiner. That meant Armaan was now being assessed by two experienced professionals at the same time.

In the driving industry, there is a long-standing myth:

“If you get audited, you will fail. The examiner will try to make you fail because they are under pressure.”

Armaan proved that myth wrong.

He drove with confidence, consistency and control.
He followed the system.
He stayed calm.
And he delivered.

Armaan passed his VORT with an outstanding 95% — under full DIT audit.

That result speaks for itself.

This is proof that no one can fail you if you drive well.
Not an examiner.
Not an auditor.
Not a system.

At Adelaide School of Driving, we believe in one simple truth:

There is no magic — only the right training, with the right people.

We are proud of Armaan, proud of our instructors, and proud of every student who puts in the effort to learn properly.

With 800+ Google reviews and 15+ years of experience, ASOD provides both VORT and CBT&A across Adelaide, including Marion, Glandore, Kilkenny, Port Adelaide, Elizabeth, Firle, Noarlunga and many more locations.

If you’re struggling, don’t give up — get the right guidance.

Armaan did. And he proved the myth wrong. 🚗💪

🛹 When Google Maps says “Fastest Route”…
but your skateboard says “YOLO.” 😂

Spotted on a road like St Bernard Rd —
cars, buses, trucks, L-platers, horns, chaos…
and one fearless skateboarder weaving through it all like
Tony Hawk Pro Skater: Adelaide Peak-Hour Edition 🎮

Mate…
that’s not a skate park —
that’s Level 99: South Australian Traffic 😅

We love confidence.
But on busy roads, confidence without caution equals:
“Let’s test how long the ambulance takes.” 🚑

And let’s be honest —
even though the Malinauskas Government has put more ambulances on the road,
hospital ramping is still a real thing, so that’s not a gamble anyone should be taking.

At Adelaide School of Driving, we teach one simple rule:

Roads are full of vehicles.
Brains are for thinking.
Use both — together.

Whether you’re on wheels, boards, scooters or behind the steering wheel —
be predictable, visible, and sensible.

Because gravity always wins…
and cars don’t have a pause button.
(Thankfully our training cars do have dual brakes 😉)

Stay safe, legends ❤️

🎄 Season’s Greetings from ASOD & TCGA 🎄- And from my whole family as well :)

As we come to the end of another big year, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you.

To our employees and instructors — your hard work, long hours, patience, and professionalism do not go unnoticed. You show up day after day, often under pressure, and continue to deliver quality, care, and integrity. What we’ve achieved this year simply wouldn’t be possible without your commitment and effort.

To our clients — thank you for trusting us with your learning, your safety, your systems, and your goals. Whether it was driving training, assessments, IT support, or problem-solving, your trust means everything to us, and we don’t take it lightly.

To our industry colleagues and competitors — thank you as well. Healthy competition keeps standards high and pushes all of us to improve, innovate, and grow. The work you do helps shape the industry we’re all part of.

This year hasn’t been easy — but it’s been meaningful. We’ve learned, adapted, grown stronger, and moved forward together.

From all of us at Adelaide School of Driving (ASOD) and The Computer Garage Adelaide (TCGA), we wish you and your families a safe, joyful Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.

Thank you for being part of our journey — we look forward to what’s ahead in 2026.

Warm regards,
Team ASOD & TCGA 🎄✨
