In preschool studio we celebrated International Environment Day through a fun art activity using foil paper and paint to create Earth-inspired prints. The children shared their thoughts about caring for our planet, with Sophie saying, “We need to take care of our environment,” Amari adding, “I am making mine like a clean ocean,” and Sandra proudly saying, “I’m making Earth.” It was a wonderful day of creativity, learning, and environmental awareness. 🌍💚

The children in the preschool studio have been busy using the magnetic blocks to explore different ideas. Jarrod shared his creative skills by constructing a shopping centre along with a car park.

He was creative enough to add a lift to connect the different levels of the car park. He was very excited to share his idea with the educator and said that he was going to the shops with his mum.

I will look after it for you so nobody breaks it said Malachi-James to Jarrod will a big smile on his face. “This is very tall” called out Amani to Jarrod.

Reconciliation Week in the toddler studio we did handprints on bark.
For Aboriginal people their handprint on rocks and caves represents connection to the land and spiritual presence.

Reconciliation Week at preschool Studio.
Together we are learning, creating, and sharing every day through stories, art, flags, and meaningful activities.
“This is my flag and I am Aboriginal,” said Lexie.“Me too,” added Sophie.
We will continue to create awareness, celebrate culture, and teach children the importance of respect, belonging, and reconciliation ❤️💛🖤

As part of this year’s Flying Start 3 & 4 Year Old Preschool program through the Office for Early Childhood Development, one of our collaborative approaches to learning within our Boost Plan is exploring, implementing and using the Kimochis Australia resources and lesson plans to strengthen learning outcomes for all children.

Today, we enjoyed a wonderful and engaging performance from Kimochis Australia, and the children and educators loved every moment!

Through fun and engaging experiences, the children explored different emotions and practised ways to express and communicate their feelings, we were all 'feelings detectives'. 😊😢😡😍

Last week in the Preschool Studio, children enjoyed a fun Road Safety Week activity by cutting and sticking red, yellow, and green paper onto a traffic light craft. Sophie shared, “Red means stop,” Sumeir and other children said, “Green means go,” and Elijah reminded us that yellow means it’s time to slow down.🚦✂️

Today in the Preschool Studio, the children enjoyed a fun and engaging literacy activity where they explored recognising and writing letters of the alphabet.
Children were excited to identify and write the first letters of their names. Mikayla worked on writing the letter “M” and also recognised the letter “E”, proudly saying “Elephant!” while pointing to it. Jarrod happily wrote the letter “J” and excitedly said, “I did it!” Another child, sumeir, confidently wrote the letter “S”, smiled brightly, and said, “Look at me!”

In our Toddler Studio this morning we sang Inanay Capuana, a soothing lullaby whilst gently playing clapping sticks.
Adalind’s beautiful voice shone through.
We also sang Ngaya Naba, a song that celebrates family, community and strength.
Elijah recognised some of the animals painted on the didgeridoo.
Both Elijah and Enzo tried to play the didgeridoo.

Over the past few weeks Toggle our travelling puppy from the Toddlers Studio has been quite busy, he had a sleep over at Mel’s house.
Helped Farhan to make banana bread.
He went down the slide with Enzo and sat in the trolley on his trip to the shops with Layla.
Where will Toggles adventures take him next I wonder…..
