As it’s national volunteer week, we would like to acknowledge our board of volunteers who do so much behind the scenes to plan & organise workshops, courses, the website, social media, finances, catering, nametags…& so much more!Here are most of our board at today’s workshop (minus Elizabeth & Joanna) - they were all there at 8am (or before) setting up for today…& between them they have clocked up more than 100 hours of volunteering for OSASA (just this week).

David became interested in dance whilst teaching in primary schools in England and Australia. He lectured in Dance, Drama, English and Communications at Sydney College of Advanced Education for 12 years before moving to the University of New South Wales in 1990. David introduced Dance to the University by writing and launching the B.A. (Dance) B.Ed. double degree in 1994 – continuing to direct and teach on this program until his retirement in 2006.

He is particularly interested in improvisation, the relationship between dance and music, dance and boys and dance pedagogy. Alongside this, he frequently provides research material for HSC Dance Appreciation and is the author of two dance books.
