In recent months, we have made some improvements to our schools, creating environments that are more sustainable, engaging, and supportive of student learning and wellbeing.

We are grateful for support from State Government Capital Funding, which has enabled these crucial upgrades. This funding allows us to continually invest in spaces where our students can learn, play, and grow.

☀️ At Sunrise Paradise, our new solar panels are paving the way for a more sustainable future.

⚽️ At Sunrise Marion, the installation of new sports nets has transformed the front grass area into a safer and more functional space for students to stay active.

📚 At Sunrise Fullarton, our newly designed Diverse Education space caters to the unique needs of our students.

These enhancements are not just upgrades; they are vital investments in our students' learning, wellbeing, and daily experiences.

What an amazing day at Sunrise Fullarton for our ELC to Grade 2 Sports Day! 🏃‍♀️🏅🏃‍♂️

Students took part in a range of events, cheering each other on and giving their all while showing sportsmanship, teamwork, and character throughout the day. It was heartwarming to see everyone rally behind their teammates and celebrate one another’s achievements. A huge thank you to our incredible Grade 6 students, who stepped up as leaders and helped run the events alongside our dedicated staff and families.

🏆 Congratulations to the gold team for claiming first place and bringing home this year’s trophy! 💛

Along with the sports events, we celebrated with a special Father’s Day treat! 🍩 Our dads and special father figures enjoyed delicious doughnuts as we honoured the wonderful men in our Sunrise community.

At Sunrise Morphett Vale ELC, we recently had a cooking experience with the School Garden Expert, whipping up tasty banana bombs and avocado dip. From peeling and slicing bananas, dipping them in orange juice, and rolling them in toasted coconut, to mashing avocados, squeezing lemon juice, and sprinkling in a bit of salt. 🍌🥑

Cooking activities not only encourage children to gain independence, confidence, and teamwork skills, but also foster crucial abilities in communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and fine motor development. They also explore mathematical and scientific concepts as they measure, mix, observe, and experiment with different tastes, textures, aromas, and ingredients.

Most importantly, these experiences build connections and familiarity. Visiting the school, meeting friendly staff, utilising school facilities, and participating in activities alongside the wider school community helps our ELC children feel at ease in the school environment from an early age.

At Sunrise, these meaningful interactions make the transition from ELC to school seem less daunting and more like the exciting next step in a journey they already know. 💙💛

The children at Sunrise Paradise ELC have been exploring mathematical and scientific concepts through hands-on experiences with a balance scale. As they weigh, compare and investigate different objects, they are developing an understanding of measurement, weight, balance, cause and effect, prediction and problem-solving. 💛💙

These play-based learning activities provide important foundations for the learning children will encounter when they begin school.

We are proud to celebrate achievements for two of our Sunrise Marion students! 🏆🤸‍♀️

Florence competed in the Gymnastics SA 2026 State Championships and was crowned State Overall Champion for her age group! 🥇

Mackenzie also represented at the Women's Artistic Gymnastics Junior State Championships. She brought home two silver medals, placing 2nd in both vault and floor, along with a 6th-place ribbon for uneven bars. Mackenzie also finished 5th overall out of 20 girls! 🥈✨

We are so proud of both Florence and Mackenzie and the commitment they have shown to developing their skills, pushing themselves and striving for excellence. 💙💛
