What a wonderful Pyjama Week! π§Έ
This week, our children and educators proudly wore their pyjamas to Nido Salisbury Downs to help raise funds for The Pyjama Foundation, supporting children living in foster care.
Throughout the week, we enjoyed so many special experiences together, including making our own dreamcatchers and sleep masks, dancing together in the Piazza, relaxing with Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler stories, baking delicious cookies and a teddy bears' picnic where children and educators from every room came together.
It was a week filled with laughter, creativity, friendship and meaningful connections across our whole service, all while supporting an incredible cause that helps children in foster care feel safe, valued and supported.
π There's still time to make a difference! If you're able to, please consider donating using the link below. Every donation, big or small, helps support the amazing work of The Pyjama Foundation.

NAIDOC Week 2026 π€πβ€οΈ
This week, our children came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week, learning about and acknowledging the rich histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
Every room contributed to creating this beautiful collaborative artwork for our service. Through painting, creativity and meaningful conversations, the children explored the importance of connection to Country, community, storytelling, and culture.
At Nido Salisbury Downs, we are committed to fostering respect and appreciation for Australia's First Nations Peoples. We are proud to celebrate and encourage our children to embrace diversity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging.
Thank you to all of our wonderful children for helping create this special piece that reflects our shared learning and celebration throughout NAIDOC Week. π€πβ€οΈ

A Day in the Life of a Cat π
Today, our Kinder 2 children became authors and illustrators as they created their very own story about a cat named Sam, a name chosen by Leonardo!
Working together, the children let their imaginations lead the way, with each child contributing their own ideas to the story.
"She'll be brown and fluffy," Stella shared, while Leo smiled and added, "And she eats dog food because she likes it!"
The children collaborated beautifully, taking turns to share their ideas while also working independently to illustrate the pages of their book. This wonderful experience encouraged creativity, storytelling, communication and teamwork, while giving every child the opportunity to see their ideas come to life.
Well done, Kinder 2, for your fantastic turn-taking, creativity and collaborative spirit. We can't wait to see what story you'll create next! π

Our Toddler 2 children immersed themselves in an Old MacDonaldβs Farm small-world provocation yesterday. The experience included a variety of farm animals, natural and recycled materials for sensory exploration and our favourite farm story to enjoy together.
As they read through the book, the children eagerly searched for the animals they could see on each page, carefully picking them up, naming them, and making connections between the story and the play setup.
We love bringing stories to life and watching the children make connections between books, play and the world around them.

Working together, learning together, growing together.
Every day our children explore the power of teamwork as they share ideas, solve problems and support one another through play.
These everyday moments help build communication skills, confidence, friendships, and a strong sense of community.
We love watching our little learners achieve great things together!
