today’s tiny task initially p:)ssed me off, cue eye roll and then set me up for a nicer, softer day.

task paralysis was rife in my brain and body today which was making me feel worse in a world that already expects so much.

So I took to my softness maintenance box with an eye roll and took the challenge which kickstarted some momentum for me. I trudged out of the house like the hunchback of Notre dame and returned like a ruler.

I listened to ‘s podcast as I walked which always makes me feel hot, so that definitely helped.

it’s really easy to blame ourselves for changes in our bodies or feel shame about it- but in reality it’s often not the case. Particularly with different medications! Meds have so many side effects and we’re all so different so it makes sense to experience a change in your desire and arousal 💗 you’re not alone!!

If you had any of these in your s:)x ed consider me envious! There’s so much joy to be had in learning about our bodies, caring for ourselves and others, and having a good time doing it.

This can’t be the s:)x ed people are so scared of heeh so spooky 👻

fatigue is written into so many of our bodies and brains, neurodivergent, disabled, chronically ill folks- or honestly, most of us in the current climate. so prioritising intimacy can feel like the last thing you should do with your energy, and look I won’t argue but I will ask you if you’re open to exploring different kinds of intimacy and what happens if we drop the expectations, or when we think about pleasure as resistance. let me know what you think 💗💗

I have been organised for the first time in my life and you can now get your tix for the next 3 connect and reflect events, I know I know I’m wonderful. Connect and reflects are low demand events for allied health and disability professionals (and students, and anyone who is exploring the field!) to get together and build community & mentor each other.

my imperfect and incomplete thoughts on yesterdays press conference. there is so much more to be said but I can’t quite process it, I’ve spent too much time in the ugly comment threads on mainstream media that my heart hurts. the ndis is flawed, but it is a system that put the supports and services back in the control of the people who use them- I vote we start back there with any reforms moving forward.
I see you, I’m with you and I will continue to advocate fiercely. 💌💌💌

when you are trained in relationships and s:)xuality education, you expect the nay sayers, the need to advocate at every corner- it’s an unfortunate reality of working in the space. but the word palatable really hit a nerve for me, I might deep dive this in my substack over the next week. Bc wtf do you been palatable, to who, for what reason. We apply the same explicit and direct instructions to all other ADLs so why not this one…. an angry advocate who wants more for you, for me and our experiences of s:)x ed ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥💌💌
