Imagine if kids new what the amygdala does ?
Lately I’ve been practicing following my intuition, even when Penny wants to take the wheel.

Penny the Protector’s job is to keep me safe — but she flags *unfamiliar* the same way she flags *dangerous*. New isn’t always risky. Sometimes it’s just growth.

I’m learning to thank her for caring, and follow the quieter voice anyway.

That’s intuition. Not the absence of fear — just not letting fear decide.

I’ve been doing this for years and I can tell you the difference between a reception where the kids are looked after and one where they’re not, is the difference between parents who actually enjoy the night and parents who spend it doing laps.
