Life Drawing in South Australia

The WEA are running a life drawing class as part of the Adelaide Fringe, on Saturday 28th February.
This is a 5 hour guided session from 10-3, instructed by artist (and educator) Sophie Hann at the WEA on Angas Street, with a life model. More details are in the Fringe event link below, or via the WEA website [course no. 67536]

Unfortunately we need to postpone this next workshop to September 25th due to unforeseen circumstances, subject to studio availability. Studio is in the city west area. They have supported us over the years and we are grateful to have their continued support.
Details similar to the last one where cost will be $25.00 for models, Artists free, who will provide models with the opportunity to take a photo of their wonderful work, duration is 4 hrs. 12:30 to 4:30pm. Artists from around 1:45 pm.
We will as usual cover the life drawing community and engagement, safety in attending classes and physical posing safety, posing techniques and opportunities to inspire the artists with your posing.
The day will consist of theory then emulate an actual class so you will know what to expect when you model for a group.
Life Modelling can be a very rewarding experience so if you have some friends who have thought about doing it but need some support, this class is a great start. You will be n**e with other likeminded creatives in a Covid safe environment.
Not sure you have the right body type for life modelling?
EVERY body type is a great body type. Artists love variety and age is certainly not a barrier so please come along in a warm safe and encouraging class environment and share this fabulous activity with others in our community.

Details for paid up models and the artists attending should be sent tonight. Appreciate the support and am confident you will head out into classes and get repeat opportunities by applying your learnings from the class.

We have 5 paid up models for this coming Sunday. If you are still keen on learning the basics of Life Modelling, please confirm by making your payment asap so we can finalise details.

We have around 8 models expressing interest and at least 3 artists for the day to help us out.
For models - Once your payment is received we will prepare an agenda with details for you.
For artists we will send details over the weekend for you - Thank you so much for volunteering your time.

We now have a venue for our first Life Modelling Workshop of 2022.
Venue is in the City (near West Terrace.
Models $25.00 for 3.5 hours workshop.
Artists free if you can allow models to take a photo of your work for their learning and Portfolios.

Session is to be Intro and theory then short display of posing safety and ideas, the a 2 hour posing experience for all models with a range of 14 different poses for a 2 hour window from 2 mins to 20 mins. Details once booked and confirmed.

Invite is for aspiring models and appropriate artists.

Venue dates available are Sunday Sunday 26th June or Sunday 3rd July? Please advise which is best but majority rules. I will look to run another class in August if you miss out this time.
