A wonderful morning spent attending the Reconciliation in the West event at Tauondi Aboriginal College.

Our Inclusion Professionals, Katherine, Alison and Jessie, had the opportunity to engage with local community providers, connect with Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes (Torres Strait Islander) cultures, and enjoy a performance by Awa Eddie.

We are All In.

Congratulations to Hallett Cove R-12 Primary School OSHC on receiving Inclusion Aware certificates.
‘For us, inclusion means creating an environment within our service where every child feels safe, valued, respected, and has a genuine sense of belonging. It is about recognising that every child is unique and may have different needs, and adapting our practices, environments, and expectations to ensure all children can participate meaningfully and successfully.
At our service, inclusion is reflected in the strong relationships we build with children, families, and our wider community, as well as through our collaboration with schools and support professionals. It is also demonstrated in the flexible environments we create to support children’s emotional well-being, regulation, and engagement.
This approach is embedded throughout our daily practices and can be seen in the interactions between children and educators, and in the way everyone supports, encourages, includes, and celebrates one another.’

Thank you also to all the families and staff who embraced the opportunity to Walk on Country and learn history and hear truth telling from our Elders.

We were so moved to hear Auntie Ros's tiyati (truth telling) about her experience as a Stolen Generation Survivor. Grateful to also hear Eddie Betts, Casey Donovan and Nathan May.

Gowrie SA looks forward to continuing to walk alongside community - we are All In!
