The Year 12 International Student Celebration Dinner 2026 for South Australian Government Schools was a truly memorable evening, bringing together students and teachers to celebrate an important milestone in students’ journeys.

Held in the magnificent Bonython Hall at Adelaide University, the evening recognised the achievements, growth and resilience of our Year 12 international students as they prepare to take their next steps beyond school. Throughout the night, students were celebrated through a range of awards recognising academic achievement, leadership, personal growth and contribution to school communities.

From heartfelt moments during the awards presentations to laughter, dancing and shared celebrations, the evening was filled with joy, pride and connection.

The celebration was a wonderful reflection of the diversity and spirit of our international student community, and the meaningful connections formed throughout their time here.

We congratulate all Year 12 international students completing their studies in 2026 and look forward to seeing where their future journeys take them! đź’™

It's a wrap for the incredible week hosting our education agents as part of the South Australian Government Schools Agent Familiarisation Program!

Over the course of last week, agents experienced firsthand what makes South Australia such a compelling destination for international students. This included school visits and interactive classroom activities, as well as exposure to state-of-the-art facilities, STEM, Arts and specialist sports programs, and the well-rounded educational pathways offered across our government schools.

The program delivered valuable opportunities to engage directly with principals, teachers, and key school stakeholders, hear from students, and gain deeper insight into the supportive and innovative learning environments that help international students thrive.

Beyond the academic offerings, agents also witnessed various career pathways made possible for international students through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. They also loved tours and immersive experiences across South Australia, showcasing our safe communities, vibrant culture, and exceptional lifestyle — key factors for students and families choosing their study destination.

A big thank you to all schools, staff and partners who made this week such a success. We look forward to strengthening our global partnerships and welcoming more international students to South Australian Government Schools.

A day of hands-on experience and student engagement across Adelaide 🎓

The South Australian Government Schools’ Agent Famil program continues with more engaging school visits!

Yesterday, a first stop for one of our agent groups was Wirreanda High School, where they met with a student's service dog who supports their students’ wellbeing.

At Underdale High School, ISEC students welcomed the agents with a dance performance, and they took part in activities of the school’s specialist football and tennis academy.

Agents also had the opportunity to make their own souvenir pewter ring at the Technologies Centre at Reynella East College and take part in a volleyball game and explored Reynella’s automotive and extensive sporting facilities.

Agents toured Henley High School and participated in interesting science experiments.

As a final stop in the school day, agents attended Aldinga Payinthi College for a lesson in aboriginal culture, volleyball and Australian Rules football.

At the end of the day, a networking reception brought together agents, Principals from South Australian government schools and key stakeholders got to celebrate our partnership and the opportunities we make available together for local and international students alike.

Yesterday was packed with more exciting experiences for our agents including a visit to Hahndorf, South Australia – a picturesque historic village that was home to early German settlers in South Australia.

In the morning, Australian Science and Mathematics School shared with agents their integrated learning approach together with blended university and industry opportunities available for students.

Aberfoyle Park High School highlighted its sports and performing arts focus against the backdrop of its beautiful semi-rural setting.

Agents also visited Unley High School - one of the oldest schools in South Australia where they engaged with students, experienced school’s facilities and enjoyed hands-on slime making!

At Charles Campbell College R-12, agents had the opportunity to engage with international student leaders and hear about their experience studying here.

The famil continues to be a fantastic opportunity for both our agents and schools to learn and improve the program we offer international students.

A day of coastal schools and community-focused learning experiences 🌊

As part of the South Australian Government Schools’ Agent Famil Program, yesterday our agents explored more specialised areas of teaching.

Visits to Hallett Cove School and Mitcham Girls High School, highlighted STEM programs and creative learning environments.

At Hamilton Secondary College, the agents explored STEM through the school’s Mars simulation and robotics program.

At Willunga High School, they learnt about agricultural education pathways and viewed the school’s very own vineyard, olive grove and wine centre.

At Brighton Secondary School and Seaford Secondary College, the agents were joined by students who reflected on their own academic and life experience in South Australia. They even joined a Home Economics class, making ANZAC and Koala shaped biscuits!

With time spent at Henley Square at the end of the day, watching a beautiful South Australian sunset, it was a memorable day for everyone!
