Our Pumpkin Adventure β Step 5
Today the children enjoyed separating the pumpkin seeds for planting. They explored the texture, used their little fingers to pick out each seed, and learned how we can grow new life from our pumpkin. Such a fun and hands-on way to connect with nature! π±π

Reconciliation Week Activity
To celebrate Reconciliation Week, we thoughtfully set up engaging activities to support children's understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture and language.
One of the highlights was a symbol matching activity, where children explored Aboriginal symbols by matching them to corresponding rock patterns and pictures. This hands-on experience sparked meaningful conversations about the storytelling traditions of Aboriginal people.
We also provided black and yellow play dough, inviting children to create their own version of the Aboriginal flag. The children showed creativity and focus as they shaped the flag, using yellow buttons to represent the sun in the center. This sensory activity not only supported fine motor development but also fostered respectful cultural learning.
These experiences created a beautiful opportunity for the children to connect with Australia's First Nations culture in a respectful and age-appropriate way.
