SOLIDARITY WITH DJAB WURRUNG FROM KAURNA COUNTRY/ADELAIDE
This morning supporters dropped banners on the Crafers overpass on the South Eastern freeway, the same freeway that meets up with the Western highway in Victoria. The same highway that is threatening sacred birthing trees, sacred Djab Wurrung birthing country. The same highway that is valued more by Dan Andrews and the Victorian Labor government than first nations peoples and their ongoing fight for autonomy and protection of their country.
Djab Wurrung country was, is and always will be sacred womens country. Women continue to stand on the frontline, not only for the 12km stretch but for the whole of this nation which is all Aboriginal Land.

"This is about listening to the land and fighting for future generations, for sovereignty everywhere" -dw embassy

During Naidoc week, a week that celebrates indigenous culture around the country, aboriginal people are still being met with colonial violence, and continuing genocide of their people and culture.

We stand with Djab Wurrung women and all those on the frontline.

ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS WILL BE

Our condolences for the destruction of the Djab Wurrung trees. This act is horrendous.

Anangu traditional owners have blockaded the entrance to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in protest of more than 40 passengers who arrived on a Jetstar flight (JQ667) from the hotspot Brisbane to Yulara at about 10:00 am this morning.

The Mutitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation (MCAC) has been calling for the immediate closure of Uluru, however, the Director of National Parks James Findlay has refused to close the park despite growing fears of tourists arriving from hotspots.

The Northern Territory government stated they would prefer any Yulara flight to land in Alice Springs first.
