Today our whole school community came together to celebrate National Reconciliation Week through a beautiful liturgy led by our Nunga Club. This year’s theme, “All In”, reminds us of the importance of walking together in unity, respect and understanding as we continue the journey of reconciliation.
Following the liturgy, our students in 1W and 4HS led a meaningful Buddy Mass focused on Pentecost and Reconciliation. As we celebrated Pentecost, we reflected on the coming of the Holy Spirit and the call to spread messages of peace, hope and unity within our community. It was wonderful to see our students sharing faith, learning and connection across year levels. ❤️💛🖤

Dominican School was proud to host enrichment students from local Catholic schools for the Gateways Program this week! Students explored ocean habitats and marine life in Ocean Pioneers and discovered the exciting world of circuits and electronics, diving into hands-on opportunities to grow, explore their passions, and extend their learning beyond the classroom. 🚀✨

📚✨ National Simultaneous Storytime 2026 ✨📚
Tomorrow at 12pm our students will join millions of children across Australia to celebrate the joy of reading as part of National Simultaneous Storytime!
This year’s book, Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller, is a lively and engaging story about Luna, a rookie captain preparing for her biggest match. Along the way, she learns that success isn’t just about skill—it’s about believing in yourself and working together as a team.
Through this wonderful story, students will explore important themes including:
⭐ Courage and self-belief
⭐ Teamwork and trust
⭐ Perseverance when facing challenges
We are looking forward to sharing this special moment as a whole school community—reading, imagining, and learning together! 💛📖

Today is National Sorry Day, marking 29 years since the tabling of the Bringing Them Home Report in 1997. On this day, we pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia.
We remember and acknowledge the immeasurable harm, grief and injustice experienced by the Stolen Generations, their families and communities, and recognise the ongoing impact still felt across generations today.
Today and every day, we acknowledge the strength of Stolen Generation survivors and recommit to listening, learning and taking meaningful steps towards reconciliation.
