The St Aloysius College community gives thanks for the life of Sr Bernadette Marks RSM. The Dux of the College in 1955, Sr Bernadette joined the Sisters of Mercy after graduating, studied to be a teacher, and went on to inspire students at Mercedes College and SAC, as well as in Papua New Guinea and Pakistan, with her passion for Mathematics. She greeted every student who entered her classroom with a beaming smile, which reflected her love of teaching.

Sr Bernadette died on May 9, 2026, and will be farewelled at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Henley Beach on Friday 29/5 at 10:30am.

May she Rest in Peace.
