Extend the Code, Chance, Create approach into Years 7–8 with our upcoming FREE Maths in Schools webinar!

Building on the Game with No Rules, this 30-minute webinar explores how Mathematics and Digital Technologies can come together through coding, chance and data.

Hosted by the Adelaide University CSER Maths in Schools Team, Dr John West will demonstrate how students can use Python and a micro:bit to run a simple chance experiment, collect results and investigate what the data tells them.

Students will explore how to:

🔹 Collect and organise data from repeated experiments
🔹 Use frequency to analyse results
🔹 Compare individual and class data
🔹 Explore experimental results against expected outcomes
🔹 Use numbers to measure and describe chance

Discover practical ways to extend classroom games into deeper investigations of chance, data and mathematical thinking while building students’ Digital Technologies skills.

We invite you to join us at a free face to face or online workshop!

Learn how to support your students to understand, question and evaluate AI. This professional learning explores real-world applications, ethical considerations and classroom-ready activities that build AI literacy, helping you move beyond using AI tools to teaching about how AI works.

These resources are aligned with Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies and Mathematics, as well as Digital Literacy capability. Participants will receive a certificate of completion for 6 hours of professional learning, aligned to the Australian Curriculum and AITSL Standards
