GDA History

Global Detection Adventures, GDA, was founded by Lance Goolsby in the spring of 2014. Along with Lance, other members accompanied and helped bring the name GDA to a global market (See names under producers page) The goal of GDA was, and always will be, to share the fun in the hobby.

GDA started casually with several videos showcasing finds from around the world, which can be seen on the videos page. From that point, it became a group on facebook. People from all over the world were joining and sharing finds and stories with others in a group which tolerated no negative comments or rumors.

And in 2016 the GDA Radio Podcast began, a small idea blossomed into what is now one of the worlds premier metal detecting podcasts, listened to in over 15 countries and counting weekly.

GDA is now primarily managed by Xlii, an Aussie lass with a slight addiction to detecting.
