What a wonderful week of celebrating the magic of books and literacy! This year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories,” brought stories to life through imagination, creativity and plenty of fun.

We’ve loved seeing the enthusiasm from our children, families and educators as everyone dressed up, shared their favourite characters and brought so much joy to literacy!

📚🏥 We don’t just READ books… we FIX them too! 🏥📚

It’s Book Week, and what better way to celebrate our love of stories than by caring for the books that bring them to life?

The Preschool children at Croydon Park have created their very own Book Hospital - a child-led project inspired by noticing that some of our favourite books were becoming a little worn and torn.

Instead of throwing them away, the children asked, “How can we fix them?” And so, our Book Hospital was born! 🩹📖

Using tape, glue and recycled materials, our little book doctors carefully give damaged books a “check-up” and help bring them back to life. Along the way, they’re learning about sustainability, caring for resources, problem-solving and the power of teamwork.
..Because a little tape, a little glue and a lot of teamwork can give a much-loved story a second life. 📚✨

🧪✨ Science Week was full of curiosity, discovery and a little bit of fizz!

The Preschool 1 children made predictions, observed reactions and explored cause and effect through hands-on experiments with bicarbonate soda, vinegar and food colouring.

Did you know we run our own CK Academy training for new educators? 🎓🦒

This week, Michaela & Sam held another CK Academy session for our newest educators, helping them understand what it means to be a CK Educator and feel confident starting in our centres.

We started with a quick game of 'Doggy Doggy, Who’s Got Your Bone?' (haha!) before covering our CK Philosophy, Values, procedures and processes.

Then we got practical...practising things like making bottles and changing nappies, as well as answering questions and talking through what educators can expect when they start at CK.

CK Academy gives new educators the knowledge and practical skills they need to get started confidently, while helping us maintain a consistent standard of quality across all our centres. It’s one of the ways we invest in our educators and take early learning and care seriously.

🩷💜 Raising Awareness & Supporting Our Community 💜🩷

This week, our Confident Kids Salisbury community came together to support National Eosinophilic Week, a cause that has a special connection to our community.

After one of our children was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Oesophagitis (EoE), our Salisbury team wanted to help raise awareness and support ongoing research into this condition.

Yesterday and today, our children, educators and families proudly wore pink and purple to show their support. 🩷💜

A special thank you to cityofsalisbury for joining us in shining a light on this important cause by lighting up the nights in pink and purple. ✨

We’re so proud of our Salisbury team for creating opportunities to learn, advocate and stand alongside our families. It’s a beautiful reminder that our community extends far beyond our centre walls!

🎶 The music has started at Confident Kids Gawler! 🎶

Our little learners had their very first weekly music lesson this week with the CK Music Teacher, Tash, and it was so much fun!

At Confident Kids, music isn’t an occasional incursion, it’s a valued part of our curriculum across all four of our centre’s. Every week, our children experience engaging music sessions designed to build confidence, spark creativity, strengthen language and cognitive development, and support social and emotional wellbeing through the joy of learning.

A big welcome to all the wonderful families who have joined our Gawler community over the past few months. We’re so grateful to be part of your child’s early learning journey and can’t wait to watch them learn, grow and shine. 👋
