Halfway around the world and fully embracing the ABHS way of life, our friends from Ushiku, Japan have been busy taking on an Aussie classic — ANZAC biscuits!

Chewy or crunchy? The verdict is still out, but one thing is certain… they disappeared very quickly. A lucky few even made it home to some ABHS host families!

We have loved sharing Adelaide with our visitors and there are still so many more adventures to share.

Who knew ski trips came with airport entertainment?

Before they even reached the snow in New Zealand, our students were keeping travellers entertained with a quick piano session at the airport. Since then, they've swapped the piano keys for skis and boards, and haven't looked back.

From first-timers finding their feet to students growing in confidence with every lesson, everyone is giving it a go, supporting one another and having a whole lot of fun along the way.

Our school community proudly celebrated NAIDOC Colours Day, with students and staff wearing the colours of the Aboriginal flag in recognition of NAIDOC Week.

During Connect in Week 1, hundreds of students and staff came together to form a giant handprint, with students inside the shape representing the Aboriginal flag. The incredible display celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, acknowledged Aboriginal presence within our school, and reflected our commitment to respect, reconciliation and community.

A heartfelt thank you to our Cultural Ambassadors, Aboriginal Education Team and RAP members for their leadership in bringing this meaningful event to life.

This year, we were also proud to raise funds for KWY, an Aboriginal-led organisation working to end domestic and family violence, supporting their important work.

🙋‍♀️ Hands up if you were just counting down the seconds until you could take your beanie off after the photos!

Swipe to see our Year 11 Hukarere students all geared up after receiving their snow kits ahead of take-off!

The countdown is officially on, and the excitement is building. Soon these students will be trading school shoes for snow boots, learning new skills, taking on new challenges, and making memories with friends in one of Aotearoa's most iconic winter playgrounds.

We can't wait to see you embrace every moment of this incredible adventure. The mountains are calling!

Is there a better way to start Term 3 than with dumpling making (and eating)? If this is quality produced on day one of Food and Hospitality, just wait until the end of the semester, the results will be mouth-watering!

Wishing everyone a great start to the term. We’re looking forward to getting stuck in and sharing all the incredible things happening at ABHS this term.

While Term 3 is just on the horizon, we're still reflecting on the achievements of Term 2.

Our Year 7 and Year 8 students finished the term on a high, celebrating the successful achievement of their year level Community goals.

To recognise their efforts, students enjoyed a Hot Choccy and Games Morning – a chance to relax, connect with friends, have some fun and celebrate everything they accomplished together.

Congratulations to our Year 7 and Year 8 cohorts on a fantastic finish to the term. We can't wait to see what you'll achieve in Term 3!
