Congratulations to UniSA alum Billie Justice Thomson on winning the 2026 Adelaide Fringe Poster Competition with her work, Cockatoo Call.

Her winning artwork will now roll out across Adelaide Fringe merchandise, city streets, digital campaigns and global promotions in anticipation for next year's festival 👏

We celebrated seven incredible UniSA alumni and their extraordinary stories, impact, and influence.

From engineering and business to the arts and community leadership, these unstoppable graduates are making a difference across Australia and beyond.

This week, Adelaide University’s inaugural Brisbane alumni event welcomed alumni from the University of South Australia and University of Adelaide Alumni community. This was the first of many opportunities for founding alumni in Brisbane to connect, network, and celebrate as we enter a new and exciting next chapter together.

Professor Jessica Gallagher, Deputy Vice Chancellor International and External Engagement at Adelaide University welcomed more than 70 alumni and friends in attendance, including the co-Vice Chancellors of Adelaide University, Professor Peter Høj AC and Professor David Lloyd.

The co-Vice Chancellors outlined our vision for Adelaide University, building on the remarkable achievements and enduring legacies of our proud foundation institutions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at this event, as we enter a new era together as one combined community – the founding alumni of Adelaide University.

It’s just a couple of weeks until this year’s UniSA Alumni Awards take place, showcasing the most distinguished members of our global alumni community, our innovators and pioneers.
But ahead of this year’s event, thanks to the UniSA Time Capsule, we flashback to the earlier Alumni Awards (which were first presented at a Gala Dinner in 2015).
Naturally we turned to our alumni community to provide MCs for the event, and over the years, media personalities Rosanna Mangiarelli and Kate Collins have both guided proceedings multiple times.
“Hosting the Alumni Awards has always been a highlight on my calendar," says Rosanna, the MC for the 2025 event.
"It’s both an honour and a privilege, and a wonderful reminder of my own days at the University. Most of all, it’s a chance to celebrate the incredible talent of our alumni and the impact they’re making across the world.”

Following our alumni event in Malaysia, senior leaders travelled to Singapore for another co-hosted alumni event with University of Adelaide Alumni. This marked the first of many opportunities for alumni in Singapore to connect, network, and celebrate as we enter the next chapter in our shared history.

The evening was emceed by Liz Hawkins, Chief Advancement Officer at Adelaide University, with more than 160 alumni and friends in attendance, including distinguished guest speaker His Excellency Allaster Cox, Australian High Commissioner to Singapore.

The Hon Catherine Branson AC SC, Chancellor of the University of Adelaide and The Hon John Hill, Chancellor of the University of South Australia, shared reflections about the remarkable achievements and enduring legacies of our proud foundation universities. Professor Jessica Gallagher, Deputy Vice Chancellor International and External Engagement, spoke to our exciting future as Adelaide University.
